RILEY'S POV
I get a call at around 6:30. "Hello." I say. "Riley, it's Jordan. Listen I'm sorry for being a dick. You were right. I caught Adam and Katie. I just hope you can forgive me." He says. "Of course I forgive you. Do you need me to come over?" I asked. "No, I'm actually having a birthday party tonight. For Sonja. You can come then." He said. " Do you want me to help set up? Anything I can do?" I asked. "You can make a playlist. Cause you know what music Sonja likes." "Cool I'm on my way." I said and I hung up.
ON THE WAY, BUM BUM BUM
"I'm here" I say as I walked in. "Very impressive decor. I know she'll love it." I said. "Great do u have the playlist?" I nodded. " I took the liberty of putting on a thumb drive." I said handing it to him. "Thank you." The doorbell rings. "Hello, come in" I say to Mitch. "Hey Riley." He said giving me a hug. "Where's Jerome?" I asked. "Right here biggums." He said smiling. "Nice to see you. Come in." I said. After everyone got here it was time for Sonja to come. "There here hide." I said turning the lights off.
"Surprise" We all yelled
"Thank You guys so much for this. Me and Tucker have a surprise of our own. We're moving in together!" Sonja said. I froze, and everyone else clapped. Jordan looked at me. I quickly turned my face back into a smile. "That's great Sonj." Tom said. "Yeah, I'm happy for you." I say with a fake smile. It must have been convincing cause she replied. "You can stay with me and Tucker if you want." She said. "No that's ok, after Minecon I'm going back to Canada. My family misses me." I said. "Aw really, I thought you could stay." Mitch says. "Yeah, we were having so much fun." Jerome replies. "Well things can't happen the way they want too now can they!" I said suddenly angry. Everyone stared at me. I just ran into Jordan's spare bedroom. I cried, I don't even know why. I'm ruining Sonja's birthday. I have to conceal my feelings for tonight. I walk back to the living room. "Now who's ready to party." I said, trying to hide the fact that I was crying earlier. " I am" Jordan said. "Let's do this." I whispered. I ran to the DJ booth thing and hit shuffle on the playlist. The song 'Teenage Dream'. "OMG I love this song, Tucker le'ts dance." Sonja said, dragging Tucker onto the 'dance floor'. I just sat back and listened. "You ok?" A familiar voice asked. It was Tom. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" I answered jumping a little. "You seem stressed. Is everything ok?" He asked. "Well I just found out that my best friend isn't coming back with me, so I'm just peachy." I said. "I would feel the same way too. You know you can always stay with me for awhile." He offered. "Thanks Tom. But I think I'll pass, I want to go home. I'm out of syrup." I joked. "Ok." He said. The song changed, it is now 'Thousand years'. "You wanna dance?" He asked shyly. "Sure" I said. He took my hand and lead me on the floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck, his on my waist. "Heart beats fast, colors and promises, how to be brave, how can I love when I'm afraid to fall, watching you stand alone" The song spoke. I love the lyrics in this song. I put my head on Tom's chest, since he was taller that me. "I have died everyday waiting for you, darlin don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years, I will love you for a thousand more." Before I knew it, the song was over. "Thanks Tom." I said, walking outside. I needed some air. "Hey, babe." I heard an unsettling voice say. "Adam" I said. "I'm back for you. I missed you." He said wrapping his arms around me. "Get off of me." I said pulling away. "You know you love me, you cried over me for days." He said with a devilish smile. "Go away." I say going to leave. He grabs my arm. "Oh your not going anywhere." He said. He pulls out a gun. "You know you ruined my reputation, now you have to pay." He said firing a bullet into my leg. I dropped onto the floor. I blacked out, from the blood loss.
JORDAN'S POV
I saw Riley dancing with Tom. Why did I care? I was dancing to counting stars when I heard a gun shot. Tom, Tucker and I ran outside. I saw Riley on the ground, blood gushing out of her leg. "RILEY" I said, running to her side. "Call an ambulance" I said to Tucker. "Riley, it's going to be ok, I promise." I said as the ambulance got here. "Who's going in the van?" The Guy asked. "I'll go." Sonja said as she emerged from the house. That was the last time I saw her, before she changed.
