You felt your fingers come in contact with something thin and paper-like. Curious as to what it was, you pulled it out to reveal a dollar bill. Tony grinned at the dollar.

"That would be me!" he said cheerfully. You waved the dollar bill in his face in question.

"A dollar bill?" you asked, arching one of your eyebrows. "Tony. Come on, dear. We both know that you're worth way more than that."

Tony placed a hand on his chest with a soft look on his face. "Awww. That's sweet of you, honey."

You smiled and handed him the money, looping your arm with his. "Shall we, my dear?" you asked. He gave a single nod. He turned to Clint and asked the archer to start the clock as soon as the two of you were in the closet. He walked on over to the closet, dragging you with him.

You could hear the lock clicking the second that you two got into said closet. You let go of Tony as he pulled out something from the pocket of his vest. You heard some cracks before soft light began to emit in his direction. You folded your arms while shaking your head with a smile as he gave you a goofy grin. He placed the glow sticks around the closet, some on the shelves and some on the ground.

"Some light so I can see my sweet Y/N," he said, giving you a smooth wink. You shook your head once more and laughed softly.

"Well, I'm very touched, Anthony," you said.

The two of you remained silent for a few seconds with something running through your mind. You couldn't stop thinking about you and Tony. The two of you always had this weird thing going on since day one. You would tease each other and shamelessly flirt with each other constantly, coming up with random yet sweet nicknames for each other, but at the same time, he was always there for you when you needed someone to hold you close after having a panic attack, and you were always there for him when he woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat after having one of his cursed nightmares of his past. You just didn't know what the two of you were and it bugged you to the max.

You weren't considered best friends because of all the flirting that you did, and you have never ever done that with Clint. And Clint has been your best friend for as long as you could remember! You and Tony weren't exactly a couple because it wouldn't be a couple if the feeling wasn't mutual. And by that, it meant that you had this gigantic crush on Tony. Despite flirting with each other back and forth, you doubt that Tony returned your affection because he was like that with every woman that has ever walked the earth. So what was it with the two of you? You decided to ask him just that.

"Hey, Tony?" you called his name. He hummed in reply.

"What are we exactly? What is this?" You pointed at him, then at you, then back to him. "Because I've gotta be honest, I've got no fucking clue. We act as if we're best friends but at the same time we flirt with each other, we have these nicknames for each other and honestly it's driving me crazy! Just put me out of my misery, would ya?" You gave him your best pleading puppy eyes because you knew that that always worked with Tony when you needed the truth from him.

He ran a hand through his hair as he looked down at the ground, a light blush visible in the soft light. He mumbled something under his breath that you couldn't make out. "What?" you asked him.

He looked up at you with an unsteady gaze and his cheeks bright red. As if that didn't shock you enough, the words that came out of his mouth surprised you beyond imagination. "I said I like you a lot, god fucking dammit," he said. Your brain couldn't process anything at the moment because it was too busy processing his words, so it wasn't entirely your fault when you said to him: "You like god fucking dammit?"

He buried his face in his hands in frustration for a quick moment before looking at you while saying, "You are impossible."

You smiled sadly at him. "That's because it's impossible for you to actually like me in that manner, Tony."

He shook his head at you, inching closer and closer. "I do like you in that manner," he said, mocking your voice at the end. You playfully punched his arm, laughing slightly. He smiled softly at you, gently holding your arm. He bit his lower lip and chuckled lightly.

"This is why I like you, Y/N," he whispered, resting his forehead on yours. "You love to joke around, tease other people, especially me, but at the same time you're so caring. You care about the others, you care about me. The girls that I've dated before wouldn't give a flying fuck if I had nightmares, if I had a fucking mental breakdown. But you, you've always been there for me.

I wake up at 3 a.m and I see you there with me and it just makes my heart melt because god dammit, you're so... perfect. And you just take my breath away always."

You stared up at him with soft eyes because wow. You did not expect that. You expected him to tease around and be the dick that he is but that was not what just happened. You felt a burst of courage coursing through your veins. Grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, you pulled him into a kiss.

There was a slight pause before he kissed you back. It was nice and slow, a steady rhythm, as your mouths danced with each other perfectly. You've seen Tony kissing other girls before and there were times where you wondered what it was like to be kissed by him. Standing here with his hands cupping your face, you found that his lips were the most amazing thing that you have ever encountered. He kissed you softly and gently, like you were the most fragile thing to exist. His thumbs caressed your cheeks as he deepened the kiss.

His tongue grazed your bottom lip, asking for permission to enter. You teased him by not opening your mouth and that frustrated him. He moved his hands down to your sides as he pulled you closer to him, making you gasp. He took the chance and shoved his tongue into your mouth, a smirk spread across his face. Your tongue brushed against his as you let him explore every inch of your mouth. You tried to suppress a moan that was rising in your throat but failed when Tony ran his hands up your body.

Eventually, the both of you broke away, panting and gasping for air. You heard the door open to reveal Stephen in the other room. Tony arched an eyebrow at him. "I expected Clint to open the door," he said.

"He went to grab a sandwich so he asked me to do it," Stephen explained.

"Ah." Tony grabbed your hand and dragged you out of the closet, sitting you next to him on the L-shaped couch. Clint emerged from the kitchen a few minutes afterwards with two sandwiches in his hand and smirked when he saw your fingers intertwined with Tony's.

"Fucking finally, man! You have no idea how much she talks about you," he said before walking to Nat, passing her a sandwich. Tony laughed at that and said, "Awww. You talk about me, honey?"

You blushed and gently shoved him. "Shut up."

He gently knocked his forehead with yours and gave you his signature Tony smirk. "I've got an idea," he whispered.

"Shoot," you said.

"You and me. Date. Next Saturday."

You arched an eyebrow at him. "I thought you must have your parties on Saturday."

"Yeah, but no party can compete to your attention."

"Is Tony Stark being sweet?"

"You know I am. So?"

You smiled and gave a single nod. "Alright. Let's go on a date."
