Chapter 9: Freedom

Again? You have been the bane of my existence in this Colosseum why won't you just die?! Mia screamed in her thoughts

Time and time again she was humiliated and each time it was more humiliating than the previous one.

Blinded by her rage, she kept on shooting the barrage of arrows and it seemed as if the rain of arrows would cover the skies above. There's also poison within each of these arrows and used alongside the technique, Perfect Aim which shoots 100% accurately.

Among all of these arrows, none managed to harm Arthur's body in the slightest, always falling down right in front of him.

Mia didn't give up though. She kept on shooting her barrage of arrows without rest even though her efforts were all in vain.

It was basically a stalemate between both of them.

Arthur couldn't kill Mia because he was unconscious and Mia couldn't kill Arthur because of the aura he was emitting.

Sir Marcus stood up and voiced out his thoughts, "Since that young man was unconscious this entire time, I declare Mia Amir to be the winner of this--" Sir Marcus was interrupted by another unsettling aura.

Joseph was still looking at Arthur and was shocked as he saw another Will, it was the Will of S--, it disappeared as fast as it appeared.

This aura was coming from Arthur, a vibrant lively aura surrounded him shocking the spectators, King Rhast, Mia and even, Sir Marcus. Greenlight enveloped Arthur's body as he managed to wake up and mutter.

Arthur woke up in a daze still emitting the lively aura but the other one wasn't. "Mia? What just... happened?"

The moment Mia felt the aura that threatened her was no longer there only the lively aura remaining. She didn't hesitate and closed in the distance.

"Wind Dash"

Mia thought that Arthur still had his 'hidden injuries' and this was the moment where the aura has dissipated, where Arthur was vulnerable without any backup.

There was a quick swift motion of her dagger towards Arthur's neck. Arthur, who was still dazed, looked at Mia expressionlessly.

"Wisp Movement"

Arthur who was at the ground was struck by Mia but surprisingly only struck air. Arthur then appeared behind her and with a swift strike of his sword, he tried to stab Mia in the back.

"Wind Dash"

Mia reacted extremely quick to Arthur's movements but in doing so she misstepped and fell down on the ground still at an extremely fast speed grazing her entire arm as she cushioned her fall. Blood started to drip from her arm and it was extremely painful.

The pain she was experiencing was a small price for being able to still live. Arthur then turned into a faint figure and left multiple afterimages as he dashed towards Mia.

Trying to keep her cool, she then picked up her bow but because of her injury her aim was off and the ones that managed to hit Arthur were only his afterimages.

Desperation appeared in Mia's eyes as she realized,"This is where I die... huh? That damn brat actually is the one that's gonna kill me... the weakest person manages to kill a one in a thousand year genius, what a joke..." She closes her eyes as she accepts her impending doom.

As Arthur uses his Full Strike Technique and swings his sword, another bright light engulfed the Colosseum. It was Sir Marcus blinding everyone and standing in front of Arthur's sword blocking it with only a hand.

"That is enough... you have proven that you already won! Now stop this!" Sir Marcus' voice was stern as he bends Arthur's sword making it unusable. Arthur then backs off the moment his sword was bent.
