Knock Knock

"Hey Yoongi, it's me Jin, can I come in?" The oldest was outside the Genius Lab at around midnight only because he had a question for the kid.

"Sure Hyung, it's unlocked!" the rapper hollered out from the other side of the door. 

Seokjin turned the knob and stepped into the room where Yoongi was currently taking a snack break after finishing up something the older wasn't aware of. The room was incredibly clean which didn't surprise Jin. It's difficult for Yoongi to work while surrounded by filth and the only time the studio is dirty is when the younger is in a bad mental state. It's the one of the main warning signs that something's off.

"So what do you need Hyung?" Yoongi inquired. 

"Are you ready to record the song?" Jin walked over to the couch and sat down, he knew this wouldn't be a short conversation. 

"What do you mean? Of course I'm ready, the song's done..." the boy knew exactly where this was going and was not in the mood to talk about it. He decided to tiptoe around the questions and see what he could do to avoid the topic, "How are you though? It's kinda late, shouldn't you be sleeping?"

Oh no. Seokjin was not playing this game. He had known the younger long enough to understand exactly what was happening right now. However, being the man he is, he had a plan. The elder knew Yoongi was going to try to bamboozle him. So, Seokjin was going to lure him into a false sense of security, then corner him and finess the truth out. 

"I'm very well actually, I was going to go to bed, but I figured I would come check on you. You know, make sure you're eating and such, that's all." Jin fashed his iconic smile and sparkling eyes.

Yoongi wasn't dumb, he could tell what his hyung was doing and decided to just play along. Truth be told he was curious about where this was going.

"That's nice of you Jin hyung, thank you," he relaxed in his chair, "I had some chips just before you came in and water as well." the younger maintained eye contact as he spoke.

"Good, well I wanted to ask a favor of you-" Jin suddenly halted because something totally threw him off his game, "Is that a picture of Jimin on your wall?" 

"Oh yeah Jimin came by after the photoshoot, he looked so happy with how it came out so I took it and asked him if i could put it up." Yoongi gazed back up at the photo remembering the interaction fondly.

Seokjin was a bit amazed when he had said it so nonchalauntly considering the fact that it could be interpreted in a certain way. 

"Seriously?" the oldest responded. 

Yoongi shrugged while making strong eye contact with his hyung, "Well, yeah."

Silence surrounded the two for a short while, it was awkward to say the least. Jin was thinking about what he was gonna say next. He wanted to figure out exactly what was happening with Yoongi and Jimin, it was confusing him. The two have always been close, they just connected, but what was confusing the eldest was why they got along so well. Yes, they were friends but it wasn't in the same way that Jimin and Taehyung were friends, it was different. 

"So what did you need from me Hyung?" the younger broke the silence.

Seokjin hesitated, he knew that being too blunt might cause the boy to shut down so he had to chose his words wisely.

"I feel like you've changed, not in a bad way, it's just that you're really close with Jimin. I understand that you two are friends, I mean we all are, but you two are... different." Seokjin inspected the youngers body language for any changes and just like he suspected the blue haired boy went stiff. 

And with that stiffness alone, Seokjin figured it out.

Yoongi was in love with Jimin. 

"I-" the rapper was interrupted.

"Nevermind," Jin flashed a smile, "Just get some sleep Yoongs." He patted the boy's shoulder and just before he opened the door to leave, the elder looked back.

"Chase after him Yoongi."
