jughead pov;
(this is before they become a couple)
"hey betts, we need to talk."
"oh uhm, okay. give me 10 minutes and meet me at Pop's."
jughead hung up the phone, a small sigh escaped his mouth. he couldn't believe it. he was going to confess. he slipped on his serpent jacket and made his way to Pop's.
betty's pov;
Betty had liked Jughead for a while now. Ever since Archie declined her feelings, Jughead had been there for her. When V had spread rumours about her, Jughead was there. When Betty decided to end hers and Veronica's friendship, he was there for her. Betty couldn't ignore her feelings for him. she even tried dating a few guys to see if that would help. but she soon realised no one could replace him.
when betty swung open the diners door the bell chimed sweetly. she eyed a booth. she strolled over to it but when she got closer she realised who was at the booth next to them. Archie and Veronica. she tried desperately to ignore them, but Betty couldn't help it.
"Oh hey guys!" Betty put on a brave face.
"Oh, Hi Betty." the redhead chirped.
"Hi." Veronica was short with Betty, not because she didn't like her but because she didn't know what to say.
just as Veronica said hello, a certain someone walked in the door.
"Jug! Over here!" Betty called to the tall figure. Jughead made his way over to the short blonde girl. he couldn't help but notice her outfit. she wore a black top with coloured detail on the neckline and sleeves, bright orange pants with a chunky belt and a pair of black heels and of course her signature ponytail.
jughead was mesmerised by her beauty. she looked breath taking.
"juggie!" Betty squealed happily.
"hey betts, you look amazing." jug didn't know what to say.
"thanks jug. you look quite handsome yourself." she couldn't help but blush a bright shade of pink at his words.
Betty gestured at the table they were standing near, away from Archie and Veronica of course. jughead slid into one side and Betty into the other.
"so, whats up?" Betty asked confidently.
"oh uh, well..." Jughead, a writer was lost for words.
"what?" Betty buzzed with a slight laugh. she couldn't help but notice jughead's greeny-blue eyes. "what?"
as Betty finished asking him that question, jughead leaned over the table, cupped betty's face and kissed the blonde girl. it was passionate, but soft. gentle and kind. like he'd been wanting to do that for years. surprised, Betty pulled away, only to make jughead worry that it wasn't a good idea.
"s-sorry. I couldn't help myself, I should probably go..." jughead was quick to overthink things. but before he could get on his motorbike Betty had ran out to find him.
"Jug?" a small voice said. Jughead turned around to face a small blonde girl. he got lost in her emerald green eyes, as she did with his. before either one of them could say anything, Betty had smashed her lips against his. at first jughead was taken back, but he then melted into the kiss.
it was safe to say that from that day onwards the weird, loner, outsider and the perfect girl next door were inseparable.
