"So last night Betty and Cheryl decided it would be a good idea to set me up on a blind date." She laughed. "Who would've thought it'd be with you?"
So basically Veronica and Archie are both from New York and had a thing, but Veronica had to move to Riverdale a few years ago and Archie has come to live in Riverdale as well, and they got set up on a blind date with each other.
"Come on ronnie! it'll be fuuuuun!" Betty wailed.
"Yeah! come on ronnieeee..!" Cheryl added.
"Uh I don't know guys, you know I haven't dated anyone since you know wh-" Betty and Cheryl knew exactly who she meant.
"Archibald." they said bluntly, with a slight tone of annoyance. "but we promise he'll be nothing like Archibald." Cheryl pleaded.
"Fine. but only 'cause I love you guys." I said, hoping that maybe, if I went on this 'date' they'd leave me alone. Betty and Cheryl smirked.
After that, we went about our day in school. Jughead and Betty couldn't stop staring at each other.
"Oh my gooooood." "just date alreadyyyy"
"Wh-what?" Betty was startled.
"Huh? d-date?" jughead said.
"Yeah. you clearly are made for each other-" just as cheryl was about to finish saying something, jughead grabbed betty's hand and the two lovebirds marched out of the room. cheryl and I sat and spoke about what we thought they were doing. next thing we know, they waltz back in like nothing happened, except, Jughead had pink lipstick smeared all over his face. the same shade Betty had on.
"Ooooooooh" "spill."
"Not now v." Betty said, changing the subject.
"Now. you and your blind date are meeting at pops at 6 tonight."
"I heard he's new to Riverdale, meaning fresh meat!" Cheryl added.
"Ugh whatever."

As the raven haired girl walked into the colourful diner a small bell sang and a warm voice echoed through the aisle.
"Ah, miss Veronica!"
Veronica turned around and was greeted with Pop Tate's friendly smile.
"Hi Pop. could I have a booth please?"
"Most certainly."
Pop showed Veronica to a booth close to the back, but not to faraway from the door so her date could find her. She waited a few minutes, scrolling though her Instagram feed when a tall, good looking boy sat down at her table.
"Uhm, can I help y-" she looked up at the boy and saw a familiar face. Her words stopped.
"Um hi Ronnie.." his voice was shy, and small.
"Oh my god! Archie!" She was filled with anger and excitement, confusion and lust.
"What are you doing in Riverdale?!" she laughed.
"Hah, I could ask you the same thing!"
"It's been years! I've missed you.."
"Me too, Arch. I never truly stopped loving you."
The two spoke for almost an hour until Veronica realised she was meant to be on a blind date right now.
"Oh my gosh!" Veronica started to panic.
"What? What's wrong?" Archibald looked worried.
"I'm just meant to be on a blind date right now.."
"Really? Me too."
"Hang on.. I need to go powder my nose. Don't move Archikins~" Ronnie knew that calling him that made him obey her.
"O-Okay." Archie was practically drooling.

Ronnie 🖤: you guys!!! what the hell?!!
Betty 🔎: what?
Cheryl 🍒: huh? whats up?
Ronnie 🖤: archie? really?
Cheryl 🍒: just trust us, you still like him and he likes you.
Betty 🔎: yeah, now go back to him.
Ronnie 🖤: ugh no! come pick me up immediately!
Betty 🔎: sorry, Cheryl, Toni, Juggy and I are going on a double date at the Bijou. Ttyl V 😘
Betty 🔎 and Cheryl 🍒 have left the chat.
Veronica made it seem like she was annoyed, but in reality she was overjoyed.

Veronica made her way back to the table.
"So, turns out you're my blind date after all." she said sitting back down.
"Oh. I'm glad." Archie said shyly. That made Veronica blush.
The lovebirds spoke for hours, not really caring what time it was.
"So last night Betty and Cheryl decided it would be a good idea to set me up on a blind date." She laughed. "Who would've thought it'd be with you?"
"Well, I should probably go now...It's pretty late." The raven haired girl said.
"Alright. Here's my number so we can talk more." Archibald slid a note into her hand.
"Thank you Arch." Veronica waved back at the boy.
They, only at that moment, realised that they never truly stopped loving each other.
