Back to school

Stepping out my white Porsche I drop my head instantly trying to avoid the harsh gaze of everyone who are whispering- quite loudly even without my supernatural hearing- about who I am. Half way through the parking lot I hear people questioning another thing - another person. And so my head shoots up with my eyes darting around until they hit the description people were talking about and I see a pale (almost as pale as me), brown haired and scared looking girl stepping out a rusted red truck. With a spark of hope that I won't have to go through this dreaded day alone I rush over to her and stick my hand out with a large smile;

"Theodora-Fay Smith. You can call me anything except Dora. I despise it." The deliciously smelling girl in front of me blinks a few times before doing a polite smile and sticking her warm hand in mine letting out a small gasp at the temperature difference.

"O-oh hi erm Theo?" She questions and I nod telling her the nickname was fine "I'm Bella Swan."

"Guessing you don't like Isabella then?" I wink while taking my hand out of her's she nods with a small chuckle.

"So you the tour guide?" She jokes and I laugh lightly.

"If I am your screwed as this is my first day." Her eyes brighten slightly and I'm guessing it's from the joy I had realising she wasn't the only new kid.

"So you wanna go try find the office?" She nods and with a swoosh of my purple bouncy hair I've spun her and we are on our way inside the building.

_____

Once getting our timetables we realise we have our first class together and set off on our way to try find the correct room. We don't suffer long until a chirpy boy comes up from behind us and squeezes his way between us with his arms around both our shoulders

"You're Isabella Swan, and your Theodora-Fay Smith right? The new girls?" After a swift nod from Bella he continues "I'm Eric. The eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need. Tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on." Bella simply gives him a strange look and I look fearful when he turns to me;

"I don't do tears." It's not wrong. I really don't. Not just because I can't cry, To much emotion that I don't know how to deal with.

"I'm kind of the 'suffer in silence' type."  Bella nods slowly and he shrugs before talking about putting us on the paper but I just block him out not really caring.

"Would you mind just pointing us toward Mr. Varner's class?" I ask and he nods leading us the way and clearing enjoying the attention he gathers from it.

________

Sports. How does someone with supernatural strength play a game of volleyball with some weak self-centred humans?

With slight fear I lightly smack the ball when it comes flying at my and let out a breath when it goes at a normal rate towards the other team, more specifically Bella who smacks it away and unfortunately to the left where it hits a boy in the head. With a snort from me that results in a playful glare from Bella we wander towards the boy holding our ball.

"Are you alright? I warned them not to make me play." I snort once more and the boy smiles at me before turning to her and waving it off;

"It's only a flesh wound."  The bell rings and Bella goes to turn away but Mike speaks up

"You're Isabella, right? And your Theodora- Fay?"

"Just Bella."

"I'm fine with that whole mouthful or you can call me something else. NOT dora" Bella gives me a strange look wondering what my issue was with being called Dora.

"Ok Bella and Theo then. I'm Mike. Newton." Mike says with his eyes trained on me making me very uncomfortable and making Bella have to contain her laughter  Suddenly, another girl I have learned to be called Jessica appears, stepping between us clearly possessive of this boy and I roll my eyes. She can have him. In fact I will help her get him if it stops his gaze.

Before Jessica can get any words out the door of the Gym opens again and the teacher shouts for us to go get changed.

"Lunch timeeeee." I sing happily and Bella rolls her eyes but allows me to drag her out the room.
