May the truth set you free

(Genos POV)
When I stirred I rolled over to feel for reaper but he wasn't there, turning my head to where he was supposed to be I found the bed empty.

I sat up causing the blanket to fall off slightly I blushed and pulled the blanket tighter around me fixing it. Did I really just do that last night? I thought confused before standing up with the blanket around me. I grabbed a pair of Reapers clothes to lazy to fetch mine from my bag.

What I found was a oversized sweat shirt and jogging pants. They seemed comfy enough. I headed to the bathroom getting a sight of my self in the mirror, I had marks on me from last night, making me blush harder I ignored my reflection Slipping them on I walked out the room, Reaper wasn't even in the kitchen though I noticed his keys where gone and phone.

I sent him a text,

Geno-Where did you go?

Placing my phone on the counter top I headed to the fridge finding some berries that I hoped didn't go off. Sitting on the couch I brought my knees to my chest and waited seeing as there was nothing to do now.

(Reapers POV)

"REAPER WHAT THE HELL DO YOU CALL THIS?" I nonchalantly looked down at the papers he was showing me, Fell was now captain in place of his brother who seemed to be out. "Uh I call that doing my job." I said keeping my tone from rising but it still had a bit of stiffness in its tone.

Fell huffed looking like he was going to explode with anger, "I don't think your telling me the whole truth." He said narrowing his eyes. "I told you what I know is that not good enough?"

"Unfortunately your words come off with no evidence, maybe id believe you if you had a witness?!" I do have a witness but there's no way in hell am I bringing Geno down to the station, I'm not giving him a risk to be caught.

"Reaper you must have a witness, because we can't just believe your words are gospel truth when there was a body in that ditch where you had just happened to be camping."
I gritted my teeth, "I can get a witness just give me a few days. It's just my witness just happened end to have left on a flight this morning but I can get him back."

It wasn't the truth but it will have to do Fell seemed please with this information, "I'll give you a week okay?" I nodded standing up and leaving.

I came in after working my shift,I had just managed to get out a bit after lunch, "hey babe" I said entering seeing Geno in my clothes picking at some yogurt and oats with a grossed out face. "Hey" he said looking at me as I sat on the couch, he imidiently scooted next to me getting comfortable.

Great now how am I going to figure out to get a witness, I basically just said I'd bring him as a witness but I haven't talked to him in how long now?

"What are you trying to work out?" I looked down at Geno who was watching me with curiosity in his white eye light. I let out a heavy breath "nothing." "Reaper I'm not stupid I know when your trying to figure out something because you get this look where your eyes seem like they've seen a 100 different problems and you clench you jaw and tense you shoulders."

He pointed out plainly, "Geez" I said he giggled "sorry I'm just very observant" he shrugged I smiled "no I like it, it's cute" he blushed and chucked his spoon at me "stop calling me cute" he smirked "would you rather me call you adorable" he pouted looking away.

I smiled and leaned over kissing his cheek before settling back down in to my seat. "So what is it your thinking?" He asked again I shrugged "just stuff." He nodded "is it about why you got called in so early?" "Something like that."

He frowned "you can tell me you know maybe I'll be able to help you?" I shook my head lightly looking back up at him, he genuinely looked like he wanted to help and it made my heart twist.

"I can't Geno you know that." I said quietly he frowned more and looked away "I thought there was supposed to be no more secrets." I placed my arms around him in to a hug resting my chin on this head, "I know Geno but this I really can't,but I promise I'll tell you sometime okay?" He just nodded holding on to me.

"How come you where picking at that yogurt?" I asked he shrugged "I wanted to try and eat it, I thought maybe if I tried eating more normal foods I'd cure my self right now it's not very appetizing" he said giving a glare to the untouched yogurt I snickered "but I didn't Mange to eat some berries so I guess I'm making some progress."

I smiled "you know Geno you don't have to try to be normal I'll always still love you" "I know.. but I just want to be everything you should have in a person" I scoffed and looked at him with a hard stare "Geno I love you for you okay? Your everything I want and more" he hugged me tightly.

I just wish I could tell him everything,"Did you hear about that man we got talked to about when we went camping?" I shook my head feeling my soul freeze.

"They found out it was a murder. Are you sure you had nothing to do about it?" I clenched my jaw tightly. "Yeah I'm sure Geno" the lie left a bitter taste in my mouth a taste of regret and self loath, because I just wish I could tell him, with out him hating me or being disappointed.
