(Genos POV) We chilled for a bit before Reapers grand idea was to go out to the beach. Grudgingly I agreed even though it would be cold this time of year.
By the time I fully agreed I found my self in the car with him. "Are you sure you won't be cold?" I asked he nodded in a black hoodie "Are you sure you won't?" I looked at my clothes I managed to grab my scarf while I was arguing.
The city slowly cleared away to the shore line, it was getting close to evening, I rested my chin by the window. Reaper parked at a more remote side. "Coming?" He asked I nodded getting out. He offers his hand to me and I take it. We walked for a bit before settling on the sand. The sun was down giving little light but just enough.
Reaper was getting sleepy I was sat between his legs my back leaning on his chest and his chin rested on my shoulder, but I was left thinking, "Geno?" I hummed in response, "you think our story will have a happy ending?" His soft voice sounded soft in my nonexistent ear.
I thought before replying "happy endings are just stories that havnt finished yet." He laughed "jeez deep much Geno" I giggled "as deep as the sea" I replied which got a chuckle from him. "I think this is the happiest I've been in my life Geno" he mumbled sleepily nuzzling my neck "I know" he kissed my cheek before nuzzling my neck again "want me to drive back?" He nodded "Do you know how to drive?" "Sure how hard can it be" "Really Geno?" I changed the subject quickly "you know I wonder what our future will be like?" I blurted out "what do you mean love" "I mean I can never walk around outside normally and I'd always have to kill someone... I had a hard time putting my brothers with that but I can't do that to you to"
"Why are you going on about this now?" He asked "I dunno" I shrugged "I already said I'd love you no matter what" "I'm just worried I'm not the right choice for you" Reaper held me tight as he stiffened
We sat in silence for a moment until I heard reaper hum soflty, i didn't recognize the tune but it was still lovely. When he fell quite again I asked "what song was that?" "I don't remember I used to hum it to my brother" I froze "you have a brother?" "A Adoptive one well more I was adopted I was perhaps maybe early teens but me and him don't get along much anymore"
I nodded silently "is it alright if I asked what happend to your mom?" "She left me when I was younger and I had no father so yeah" I frowned "I'm sorry to hear that" I felt him shrug "it's all in the past, but I promised my self I'd be a better parent then my parents ever where."
I smiled widely "really?" He nodded "should we head back now?" I didn't even realize it was completely dark now. The waves crashed somewhere in front but it was just a black wall in front of me.
"Sure." He got up offering his hand I took it with a smile
