"What's this?" A small boy questioned, looking up at a purple mixed with red portal like thing. He was quite curious, sticking a hand in and out of it quickly. Nothing happened.
Just as the small boy were to walk away, something had stepped out of the portal. A tall, dark brown haired male with deep blue eyes. He looked down at the child and smirked. The male was wearing some type of armor. It was red mixed with black, pretty scary lookin. He pulled out a dark, red sword from its sheath. He rose the sword above his head, before swinging it at the child.
The child being oblivious to what was happening, screamed loudly as he was pushed out of the way. The man had missed, obviously. He growled as he glared at the cloaked figure that saved the child. "The hell?" The male spoke.
The cloaked figure looked at the child and gave him a small push, telling the kid to run which he got and ran away. The figure stood to their feet and stared at the tall man.
"Who are you?" The man asked, which the figure didn't respond. They wore a brown cloak, which blended with the trees. The cloak was long, down to the person's ankles. Their hood was on, along with them wearing a dark grey scarf, which covered half their face, except their eyes. They were completely covered.
"I wont ask again." He growled, getting into a fighting position.
The cloaked figure pulled out the sword as well, from behind the cloak. The sword was the same as the man's, except much longer than his. He quickly dashed toward the figure. The figure was quick, dodging the attack and elbowing the man in the side. The man groaned before stumbling a bit, turning around at the figure. The figure swung the sword quite fast in one hand, before stopping to tightly grip the handle. They then ran toward the man, the man only having half a second to decide what to do. He put his sword in front of him, blocking the attack the figure had struck. The figure was a little surprised the man had such a quick reflex. The man then pushed the figure to the ground, the figure's hood flying back to reveal dirty blonde hair.
"A woman?" The man spoke confused. He brought the sword to her neck. She tried her best to push herself into the ground, away from the sword.
"Who are you?" He asked again.
"I thought you said you weren't going to ask again." The girl said with a smirk, even though it couldn't be seen. The man growled and brought his sword up, ready to cut the girl's head off. She giggled before bringing her foot up and kicking the man in the crotch. The man winced before clenching his weapon tighter, now holding his crotch as well. This gave the girl some time to grab her sword and strike.
She got to her feet and snatched her sword quickly, thinking she was going to slash him but they ended up clashing their swords together.
"So, what's your name?" The girl asked, acting all happy and cheery. This confused the man even more, they were in the middle of a battle and she was asking for his name?
"None of your business." He growled, knocking her sword away, but not from her grip. He slashed his sword at the girl but she ducked, cutting both of his thighs instead. The man groaned in pain as he dropped to his knees. He felt defeated. The girl popped back up and smiled, before squinting at the male, "Hm. You look oddly familiar." She said before shrugging, "Ready to meet to your doom?"
She brought her sword up high above her head, the man clenching his teeth from the pain, the blood soaking through his black pants. His armor wasn't strong enough for the girl's weapon, it just cut right through it. The man was surprised.
The girl brought her sword down.
...
She missed.
"Ow!" She whined before pulling out a small dagger from her arm. She then realized the man had backup. The man chuckled, glaring up at the girl, "Looks like you're done for missy." He said, laughing evilly.
"Dammit." She mumbled before looking around to spot at least four figures in the forest. She found a clearing and took her chance. She put her sword in its sheath and dashed away. Two figures followed her while two stayed to help the man.
"Sir, are you alright?" The female asked.
The man nodded, "Yes, i'm fine Miranda." He said as he stood, still wincing in pain.
"You've been hurt, here." The male said, tearing some cloth up that he kept on him just incase and wrapped both of his thighs, tying the cloth around them tight.
"Thanks Jason." The man said as he sighed.
"Who were you fighting?" Miranda asked, confused and curious.
"Not sure, the girl looked familiar and god she's a difficult one, haven't met such a fighter, a good one at that." The man said.
"Hm, better than you sir?" Jason questioned.
"Ha," He scoffed, "She wishes,"
The two chuckle, another figure appearing, "Anthony— I mean Sir!" The girl called to the man, Anthony, running to him.
"What is it Ty?" He asked, almost snapping.
"That girl you were fighting, she's one of us!" Ty exclaimed,
"She's one of us? Then why is she here and not in hell like the rest of us." Anthony asked.
"She escaped! Remember? That's why we felt that portal open, but we couldn't find it."
"Huh, we'll get her sooner or later," Anthony said before looking at the three, then walking away from them, in the direction the girl went.
