Homecoming

When Lucinda got back to her feet she pushed me into a near by broom closet. "(Y/N)!"she cried as she hugged me, "what happened to you, why didn't you come back?"she said, just as I was about to answer the bell rang signifying that classes had started. "Crap lets go where's your next class?" she asked, I handed her my schedule, "great we're in all the same classes apart from first hour." she said as she took my hand and lead me to class.

We tried our best to sneak in to class. "Miss Summers, and Mr. Fall I'm glad you finally decided to join us." the teacher said, "Sorry Mr Xiao Long, I was helping (y/n) get here." she lied, but the teacher seemed pleased with her excuse. 'Xiao Long why does that name sound so familiar to me' I thought, "Mr. Fall could you please come introduce yourself to the class, and please take off your sunglasses." he said, I went to the front of the room and took off my sunglasses, "hi my name is (y/n) Fall." I said as I went back to my seat.

Time skip after school

"Mr. Fall a word please." Mr Xiao Long said, "wait for me I promise that I'll be quick." I said to Lucinda as I entered Mr. Xiao Long's classroom. When I entered the class room I saw my father sitting behind the desk. "W..what is this?" I asked, 'This is your unofficial welcome to Signal 'party'" my father said, "that's great and all, but I made plans for after school cant we do this at home, and besides I'm sure Winter would like to be a part of this?" I said, "yeah your probably right, I'll see you at home then just be home by six." he said, "alright I'll be home by six." I said as I ran out to meet up with Lucinda.

"Hey you ready to go?" I asked her as she looked up from her scroll, "ya I just texted Cinder telling her that I'm bringing a 'friend' over and she said that's fine." she said as we left.

When we got to Cinders new apartment Lucinda opened the door. "I'm home!" she announced, "Lucinda dea-" mom said as she turned around dropping the dish she was holding when she saw me, "hey mom." I said, she ran to me and embraced me in a warm hug. "(y/n) where have you been, why didn't you come back with Lucinda?!" she cried, "that's kind of a long story mom." I said. We all sat down and I told them what happened that night. "If I ever see that Winter woman I swear I'll burn her to a crisp!" mom said as her eyes burst int flames, "mom there's no need for that Winter has been very kind to me and besides I'll get out of there soon so do you think you can settle for occasional visits?" I said mom just sighed and the flames from her eyes extinguished themselves. "I guess that's ok but sweetheart I don't like you living with Qrow so please just get out of there soon ok." she said with a concerned tone, "ok mom but it's going to have to be after the wedding. I heard they made a grave for my birth mother, I plan on visiting it on the day of the wedding and running away that night and if he finds me again then I'll say I just preferred living with you and that if they don't like it then they can take it up with someone who cares." I said, mom looked surprised and happy.

When it came time for me to leave I opened a void to home and said my goodbyes. Mom gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. When I went through the void I ended up outside the front door. When I opened it I saw Winter, my father, and Uncle Tai. The party was bitter sweet, I liked Winter, she had been nice to me ever since she found out who I was, but I also wanted to get back to mom as soon as I could. "Hey buddy looks like you got some stuff on your mind, wanna talk about it?" dad asked, "dad can I be honest for a second, I like living here with Winter and you when your around, but I miss my old life I wanna go back to my mom." I said, "(y/n) I miss Summer too but -", "I don't mean summer dad I miss the mom who took me in off the streets, tho one who adopted me and took care of me!" I cried, "dad I want her she's the closest thing to a mother that I can remember, so if I asked would you let me go live with her?" I said tears streaming down my face, "if that's what will make you happy then yes you can live with her, BUT I have a few conditions, one you have to come stay with us once a month, two you have to come back on holidays your birthday included, three if you feel like you need space feel free to come back, and four I want to meet this person face to face." he said, I nodded in agreement.
