"So, you and Lennon and Jaxon are going on your first dates tonight?" Shawn grimaced, leaning towards the screen, "With who?"

"Lennon and Riley, Jaxon and Maya and me and Lucas," Star recounted, fixing her curly hair as Shawn's eyes widened, "Dad. It'll be fine. I can take care of myself."

Shawn let out a sigh and shook his head, "I'm driving back, I'll be there in time."

"Dad. Dad, no," Star shook her head, "I'm not making you come back here for this, it's not even that big of a deal." He parted his lips to speak, only to have Star shake her head, "No. Zip. Nope. Stay there."

The brunet father of three nodded begrudgingly and the pair chatted a bit longer before saying their goodbyes. Then, Star turned and began getting dressed, keeping it simple as she did, nerves bubbling in her stomach. She was much more excited than she led herself onto be, applying light makeup before she went to help her brothers. She was slightly embarrassed to admit that she was fifteen and it was her first date, when Riley and Maya were both thirteen – where she came from, it was practically unheard of to be past fourteen and just going on a date.

"Nervous?" Star asked as she fixed Lennon's collar.

"Is it bad if I say yes?" Jaxon asked as he passed the pair, hopping around as he tied his shoe.

"Not if I am too," Star shook her head, jumping as the doorbell rang.

They all turned and stared at the door, Jaxon being the one to man-up and open it. Somehow, they all knew that it was Lucas, but Lennon was shaky after asking Cory if it was alright to take his daughter out the day before and it seemed that he was afraid that he was going to come back. The door squealed open and the world, in a cliché manner, slowed. Star smiled and Lucas did the same, flushing a bright red as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Man I wish Josh were here to see that face," Jaxon chuckled and she glared his way, glancing between her brothers:

"Ready?"

"Yeah, I guess," the two brothers chorused and the four parted from the apartment, Lucas and Star linked arms.

Star was hot all over with nerves and Lucas was no better, even as Riley and Maya joined them and they headed to the subway, each of the pairs separating slightly as they talked. Lucas watched Star, while she was far too nervous to even look his way for too long. The nerves seemed widespread as they stepped into the train car, Lucas and Star taking a seat on an open bench, Maya and Jaxon holding onto the bar and Lennon and Riley finding another seat against the back wall.

They were in good spirits as Riley grinned, "I don't wanna jinx this, but this is just like us all hanging out at school. What could go wrong?"

As Riley finished the phrase, Lucas nudged Star's arm. She glanced to him first, then saw what he was looking at. Josh and a pretty girl sat on a bench by the other door. Star didn't know why, but it made her stomach turn – he looked sullen over her dismissal of him – but that wasn't the entirety of what bothered her. She never thought that she'd feel that way towards Josh, so she pushed it down and looked to Lucas. Maya on the other hand approached him to converse with him.

"You okay?" Lucas spoke lowly as Jaxon watched his date attempt to make Riley's cousin feel better.

She paused and looked at him, the whole world feeling like it was alright again, and nodded, "Yeah. I am."

"Good, because you have to go cheer up your best friend and I don't think he'd appreciate you being in a bad mood – he may blame me," Lucas teased.

Star licked her lips and smiled her brilliant smile, patting Lucas' hand, "You're one of a kind Friar, one of a kind."

He returned the grin and she stood, crossing to sit beside Josh. They shared a look, not needing to speak and despite how Maya glared her way, she smiled softly at her older friend. He couldn't help but smile when she did – her happiness was his; he laughed at her and she wrapped an arm around him, his arms snaking around her waist tightly. It was the kind of hug that lasted all day – the one where you feel their arms around you even in the dark of night when you reflected on the events of the day.

"Don't know what I'd do without you, Star," he sighed as the car came to a stop.

"You'd be a sad sap," she teased and he shook his head as he left. Maya watched Star and she smiled at her, sighing, "Thank you for talking to him."

"Yeah, of course," Maya spoke stiffly, but Star ignored the coarseness of her tone.

Star pushed to her feet and paused, "Oh, and Maya? My brother really likes you, so please don't screw it up."

As she passed, Riley traded off and they grinned at each other as Lennon and Jaxon sat, watching the girls that stole their hearts. Star returned to Lucas and seated herself, the blonde haired boy looking back at her. He was just as handsome as ever, just as good-natured. Star wanted to lean in – before she could, Riley flew back into Lennon and the group watched, excitedly as Riley cupped his face and placed a kiss on his lips. Star grinned widely at the sight and leaned against Lucas, snaking her fingers through his.

Jaxon, chuckling at the exchange between his brother and Riley, crossed to Maya and chuckled, "That was really sweet of you. Lord knows Lennon wasn't gonna man up."

Maya smiled and peered up at him, as he was slightly taller, "Are you?"

"I don't kiss on the first date," Jaxon teased in return.

"Then I guess we'll just have to have a second."

"I guess we will."

Lucas glanced down at Star in amusement as she asked, "Are we gonna have a cheesy moment?"

"Do you want one?" he asked easily.

"Nah," she shook her head.

"Then, I guess not."
