"It's a new school, Star, you don't have to pout – what's the worst that could happen?" Jaxon placed his hands on the shoulders of Star, the youngest of the triplets.
Jaxon, Star and Lennon Thomas where a set of triplets, raised in Oakland, California and born to Hazel Thomas. The three were fair skinned, biracial with thick curly hair and each in varied talents. Jaxon was an athlete, Star was a photographer, and Lennon was a musician. Each had dark orbs and soft features, but different personalities, only coming together when one of the trio was threatened.
"It's a new school, with our 'Dad' who isn't around half the time, and took us from the only parent we've known since Mom died," Star grumbled pessimistically as the three stopped in front of their new lockers.
Lennon, the quietest of the group looked up, "Give it a shot, Star, Momma always said to give life a chance."
There was a silence among the three of them, then Star nodded and the three moved in synchronization to unpack their bags. Each grabbed their books and headed to their first class: History. The class fell silent, all heads turning to the trio. Star stood at the head, her hair in a large mass that fell to her hips in curls. The boys in the class paused and their jaws dropped, specifically one that caught Star's eye. Jaxon was a bit taller, his face brooding in appearance and he ran his hand over his short-cropped hair as a few of the girls in the classroom drooled. He had a muscular build for a seventh grader and his arms crossed, allowing the girls to turn their attention to Lennon, who didn't have the same muscular build but was equally as attractive as his younger brother.
Meanwhile, Jaxon threw a wink at the blonde haired girl in the front of the class, her locks falling to her mid-torso and bright blue eyes skimming him over. She was a pretty girl, with bright teeth and a wide smile, her style not quite matching but she seemed comfortable in it. Lennon spotted a brunette girl beside her, one who clearly was her best friend by the way the two shared a glance when the group entered. She had warm brown eyes and the staring contest was broken by the teacher, a man with dark curls and brown eyes.
"Alright," Mr. Matthews narrowed his eyes at the interaction between his daughter, the brunette girl named Riley, and Lennon, "Class, these are our new students, Star, Jaxon, and Lennon. They moved here from California."
"Welcome," the blonde girl, Maya, smirked and kicked her feet up on the desk.
"Hey," Jaxon nodded and Star rolled her eyes at her brother.
"Have a seat," Mr. Matthews suggested.
The three shared a glance before scrambling, Star headed for the farthest seat to avoid the battle with her brothers. Jaxon and Lennon wrestled for the seat in the back corner of the class, the bigger of the two bodies checking the skinnier out of the way. Lennon tumbled forward and shifted his jacket and glared back at his brother, finally taking the seat next to Riley. The pretty brunette smiled and turned, her dark brown eyes bright and friendly.
