Claire, Andy, and a Couple of Friends

I wake up with Sly holding me, his fingers playing over my scars while dark circles make themselves apparent on his lower lids. I reach up and touch his cheek causing him to look at me, "Are you okay Mi Esposo? Did you sleep?" He kisses me and says biting off his words, "I'm fine, and yes I slept, okay?" I stand up leaving him sitting there, "Don't get mad at me, I'm worried, okay? I'm your wife it's my job." I grab my clothes and change in Zoey's room before heading downstairs. "Hey, Zoey." She looks up and smiles, "Hello Lord Aphmau." None of the villagers truly know my past, they just know that Sly is my husband, Katz is my friend, and Jin, Aden, and Satiel are my brothers. I don't feel they need to know my past and it's probably safer if they don't. Zoey snaps me out of my thoughts, "Aden said he was going to visit a group called 'The Few'? He said you'd know what it meant." I smile, "I do, thank you, Zoey." 

I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist and a face buried in my shoulder. I turn slightly so my lips are hovering above Sly's head, I grin and kiss his head, "Come Mi Esposo, I need to eat and make my rounds." He let's go and kisses me before sitting down and starting to eat. I giggle and sit down beside him, devouring my bacon and eggs. I wipe my face and smile at Zoey, "Thank you, Zoey, that was great." Zoey looks up from her dishes, "Thank you Lord Aphmau." She pauses as if to think something out, "Can I take the boys to Meteli with me?" I tilt my head to the side, "You're going to Meteli?" Zoey sighs, "Yes I have some unfinished business with Ezra, another elf." I look out the window to where Malachi and Levin are playing and being watched by Brian, "Take Brian with you." She starts to argue before I cut her off, "I want you and my kids to be safe, take Brian or don't go. With Zane, my father, and Nathan out there it's safer if you have a guard." Zoey looks a little putout and then you can see her light up, "Okay Lord Aphmau! Thank you for this oppurtunity." She runs off to pack before I can say 'your welcome'. 

I sigh and rest my head on Sly's shoulder. He turns to me and sets his coffee down, "Are you okay Jess?" I sigh and shut my eyes. I feel a hand on my cheek, "I think you should go lay down." I put my hand over his on my cheek and shake my head, "I'll be fine." He looks worried but lets it go, "I'm worried about you." I smile sadly and look directly into his eyes, "I am worried about you too." He shakes his head before kissing me, "Some pair we are." I smile and rest my forehead on his, he softly strokes my hair and we just sit there for a while until I hear a knock on my door. I reluctantly pull away from Sly and glance at the door. Whoever is there knocks again, I slowly stand up and walk to the door. I hover above the doorknob. Sly walks over to me and holds my other hand. I weakly smile and open the door to see someone I thought I'd never see again, "Claire!"

I tackle her and tears leak out of my eyes and run down my cheeks. We just sit there crying until I hear a small voice, "Auntie Aphie?" I gasp and turn to see Andy (8) standing there his eyes watering. "Andy!" I pick him up and squeeze him. He gasps and says, "Auntie you're choking me." I lightly let go and I say, "I missed you so much 'Little Sailor'." He giggles and my heart explodes. Claire takes Andy from me and says, "Please do not squeeze my child to death." I giggle, "Never, he's too cute." I see a brown-haired boy walk up to me with a little blue-haired girl, "Hey Nekoette! Hi Matt!" Matt smiles and hugs me, "Hi Mom!" I laugh and hug him back. "Matt this is your Aunt Claire and your cousin Andy." I turn to my sister and nephew, "Claire, Sailor, this is your nephew/cousin Matt." Matt looks weirdly at me, "You said that Grandpa was your only family." I look at him, "Sorry mi Hijo, I told you that for you're safety." Claire taps me on my shoulder, "Grandpa?" I smile, "Loki." She smiles back, "Cool."

Sly taps my shoulder, "Mi Amor you have rounds to make." I gasp, "Oh right!" I turn to Matt and Nekoette, "Can you two show Claire and Andy around the village?" Nekoette smiles, "Gladly Lady Aphmau." I smile back, "Thank you Nekoette. You got your mother's beauty and kindness, and your fathers sense of duty." I smirk, "Drop by one day and I'll tell you some pretty embarrassing stories about your father." She smiles," I will Lady Aphmau. Follow me, Miss." Claire smiles and follows Nekoette with Andy in her arms, Matt smiles at me, "Bye Mom." I smile and say, "Bye Buddy," as he walks off. Sly grabs my hand, "I'm going to come with you on your rounds if that's okay." I nod and kiss him, "That'd be great, come on." I lead him off.
