Samantha's POV:
Bo just started kindergarten and Hunter is in school so I got the nanny to stay the night with them and fortunately that also means we're barely gonna be home before Tate wakes up tomorrow because it's his birthday. We decided decided to call him before he goes on later because I know once cole or Lee goes on for their set Luke's probably not gonna have his phone all night until it's over.
Luke's POV:
We are performing at Gillette tonight which is home of the New England Patriots. According to the books it'll be the biggest one day country concert at the stadium and I couldn't be happier. Samantha and Jordan are with me and then were going to fly back tonight so we can be home for Tate's birthday. I can't believe he's gonna be 4 already. Time really does fly. Before I go to sound check which is like any minute now Jordan, Sam, and I are gonna call the boys to say hi to little Taterbug since it's his birthday tomorrow.
Phone convo: LSJ-Luke Samantha and Jordan. BT- Bo and Tate
LS- hey boys.
BT- hey daddy, hi momma.
L- say hi to Jordan. She's here with us.
B-hi Jordan!
T- hi Jor
J- hey y'all. Hey Tate I just wanted to say happy early birthday. Love you bud
T- I wuv you too Jordan
B- love you Jordan!
J- I love y'all so much.
T- daddy?
L- what's up Taterbug?
T-are you and momma gonna come home tomorrow?
L- of course buddy! Your momma and I wouldn't miss tomorrow ever.
BT- yay!!
S- yeah we'll be home don't y'all worry.
L- don't worry bout nothin pray about everything *picture Luke singing this*
B- yeah!
L- y'all better behave until we get home.
*Carter yells across room for Luke to get ready*
L- I gotta go boys. Carter just told me it's almost time to go on. Happy early birthday Tatertot! Love you boys!
After that we hung up with the boys and I got ready to go on stage. This is a huge crowd. Like 60,000 people and it's the biggest show that I've ever done. It's also the biggest one day country event ever held at the stadium.
*during the concert*
Cole, Lee, and Dierks Bentley opened for me and it couldn't have gone better. I brought cole out and we sang this is how we roll together since he helped me and the FGL guys write it then Lee and I sang Crazy Girl. That one seemed to be hit. After that me and Dierks sang together. I finished the show with play it again and country girl then went backstage to see Sammy and Jordan.
"Hey babe you did great!" Sam smiled and kissed me. "You did awesome uncle Luke!" Jordan gave me a hug and we all headed back to get ready and leave. Jordan is gonna come back to Nashville with us and spend some time with the boys since she has to go back to college soon.
*the next morning*
We got to the house around 8 the next morning and it was quiet still so I guess the boys were still asleep. Sammy and I put our bags upstairs and Jordan out her stuff in the guest room. "I'm gonna get Bo. Sam you get Hunter and then we can all wake up Tate." I told them. I went into Bo's room to wake him up and when he saw me he wrapped his arms around my neck so I carried him into the hallway where I was met by Hunter. I hugged them both then Bo was squirming for Sammy and Jordan so I put him down and they all hugged. "Come on y'all we gotta wake up the birthday boy." I told them. We all went in Tate's room so I sat on the bed and shook him until he woke up. He rubbed his little eyes and when he saw me his face lit up like a kid on Christmas. "Daddy!" He jumped on me and I fell back on the bed. "Happy birthday buddy." I gave him and kiss and he clung to me. We all went downstairs and Sammy wanted to make breakfast. "Alright Taterbug what would you like for breakfast?" She asked him. "Bacon momma! And pancakes!" He giggled. "Pancakes and bacon it is then. Y'all go hangout. I'll make breakfast." She started shewing us out of the kitchen. I put Tate down because he was squirming before and Jordan, Bo, Hunter and I went into the living room. Tate stayed behind.
Samantha's POV:
I motioned for them to leave so I could make breakfast but Tate stayed behind. "What's up baby?" I knelt down to his level. "Thank you momma, I love you." he said. Then he grabbed my face with his little hands and kissed my nose before running away to the living room. It's official I have the cutest children on the planet.
