EDITED Chapter Fifteen:

We basically spent the next hour and a half doing absolutely nothing.

But I was fine with that.

I loved the fact that we were just able to spend all that time together. We laughed and he took my mind off of all the problems I had had prior to us speaking about what would happen.

We fed bread to the fish and Louis in the lake, screaming as a mermaid jumped out of the lake at us, her (or his) ugly green skin glowing, gils protruding from its neck and it seemed to glare at us as it flipped back into the water, splashing us with its tail a few times before darting off.

Spluttering, I wiped my face, rubbing my eyes and glaring out at the water as if the mermaid and/or merman would be able to see me.

"Well.. that was exciting," Scorpius muttered, ringing out his shirt to the best of his abilities before shaking the water out of this white blonde hair.  "Come on, Spencer. As much as neither of us really want this to happen, it's time to head back inside and to the Headmistress' office."

I groaned, laying down on my back on the dock before staring up at him.  "You know.. you have that Quidditch match tonight. I promised myself that if it was at all possible, I'd be there to watch you play.  So you can expect to see me tonight, older and probably not nearly as pretty, but I'll be there." I smiled as he grinned, standing up before sticking out his hand to help me up as well.

"That sounds like a good plan.  I can't wait to see you tonight.  I'll make sure Gryffindor wins for you."

Together, we walked back into Hogwarts, noticing that the halls were empty and I could only assume most were in their dorms getting ready for supper and the Quidditch game afterwards.  We didn't bother hurrying, we walked slowly towards our destination.  Humming some imaginary tune that sounded like 8 people singing different songs all at the same time. There was no melody to it, just humming randomly.

It was nice.

As we got closer and closer towards the Headmistress' office, I stopped, making Scorpius freeze in his tracks as I grabbed his arm, pulling him towards me and hugging him as tightly as I possibly could.

"I will miss you. I love you, you're an amazing friend Scorpius and thank you for making me eat and always being there for me and taking care of me and keeping me alive, thank you."

"Well I'd say I will miss you too, but I fully plan on seeing you again in a couple hours at the game.  You'll be fine and in no time flat, we'll see each other again."

I nodded, knowing he was right. I'd be fine. We'd see each other soon.  Well.. soon for him.  It'd be a good twenty something years before I saw him again; at this age anyways.  We let go of each other and just stood there staring before he smiled and began to walk once more while I followed a couple footsteps behind, wondering if this time, the spell would work.

It had to work, right?

Well.. I could ask McGonagall, I realized. I could ask her if I ever showed up in the past in my own year.  She would know.  Of course when I first got here, she made it seem like I never showed back up in my own time, but maybe...

So I did,  I asked her whenever we were seated and settled in her office.

"You do make it back to your own time.  This does work out Miss Snape, this spell will work exactly as it's supposed to."

I breathed a sigh of relief, and then we were getting ready to perform the spell.  Scorpius and I didn't take long to say our goodbyes, but we were sure that this wasn't goodbye. In this year, I'd be back in a few hours, older and more mature, but I'd be back.
