Nova sat at a table in the almost empty library. She hadn't gone to dinner in approximately two weeks, getting lost in studying. Not to mention, she hadn't seen Tom around, not since the incident. She missed him.

Her nose was buried in a book, reading about the history of Hogwarts, trying to catch up on her History of Magic homework.
Her hair was a mess, not having brushed it out in almost a week, only tossing it into a bun to keep it out of her way.

"Pardon me, Miss. Summers, I heard you were excelling in Herbology and I seem to be lacking in the subject," Tom's voice flooded her ears, causing Nova to look up at him. Her eyes met his, the licorice wand that she managed to sneak into the library hanging from her mouth, disgusting Tom. She was so nasty, but he smiled at her anyway, pushing his hatred down.

"Your vocabulary has improved," Nova noted, taking the licorice from her lips and smiling at the boy. Tom nodded, slowly taking a seat. Nova offered him some of her licorice, to which he declined.

"I wanted to apologize for what I said. I was jealous and could not control what I was saying. You have been my only friend, and sharing is not something I'm used to." He explained, taking in the messy hair and freckles. He chuckled softly to himself, seeing that she hadn't changed.

"I missed you as well, Tom," Nova smiled and Tom actually liked the sound of his name.

"What exactly are you reading about?" Tom asked and Nova showed him the cover of the book, going on about the history of the school and then further explaining what class she had to read it for and why. Tom felt something settle in the pit of his stomach, something he couldn't place a name to, but he was fine with it.
