Playing His Game

Chapter 1: Staying With Him No Matter What

"First off girls. How are boys able to play us?" Mrs. James asked.

Many girls raised their hands, but mines didn't go up. I knew exactly how they played us, but I never spoke up. I just sit back and listen. One girl stood up ready to tell us.

"They tell you that they love you, but they are just lying to you because it's the easiest way to get into the girl's pants. All boys are like that." a girl name Karen answered.

"So you are saying that the boy plays with your heart. Correct?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Well if you know this why do you let him?"

"Because I love him and I don't really care if he's lying or not. I want to stay with him no matter what."

Heaven scoffed loudly at Karen making all of us direct our attention to her. She's being so naive and just plain out stupid, so I understand why Heaven scoffed, but that was kind of rude.

"Ms.Smith do you have an input into the conversation?"

Heaven stood up and look Karen in the face with a scold," Yes ma'am I do. How do you not care that a boy is playing you when in the end you're going to get burned. You may think that you love him, but really he is just manipulating you to think you love him, but truly there is no way you love someone who plays you because that's just plain out stupid, Karen. No offense."

She slowly sat down and didn't say another word. Heaven spoke the truth (like always) but what she said was kind of hurtful .

"Good debate, Ms.Smith. That's leads me into the first guide to this section. Write this down girls. ' Realize his lies.'

We all began writing down all that she was saying while absorbing the information she was giving.

"Lies are an easy way to munipulate people, but you must realize them to save yourself from being hurt." Mrs. James preached.

"But how do we know when they are lying because they be doing a damn good job at making it seem like the truth." Karen said. Everyone looked her upside her head, but we had to realize that she is new to the group and must not know the rules.

"Mrs. Cole, cussing is not acceptable in this group." Mrs. James scold.

"I apologize Mrs. James and everyone else."

"Thank you. But back to your question, you must realize their type. If the boy you are dating is the player type, he is lying to you. If he is the loyal type and you've known them for a long time, then he must be telling the truth, but even so stay cautions. Understand?"

We nodded in agreement.

"Now I want to get back on the topic about loving him no matter what that Ms. Karen brung up. Let me tell you something that's you all should know. You should never stay with a man if 1. You feel in danger. 2. He is aggressive with you or 3. if he cheats on you. This is all from self experience ladies. You may think that he loves you this way, but he doesn't if he does any of these things to you." Mrs. James said finishing our session for today.

What she said really did take a toll on me. My boyfriend, Mace, kind of does all these things to me, but its only because I make him mad. I just have to make sure he's happy and he's the perfect boyfriend.

Basically out of the meeting we were told to realize his lies and the way he lies. I was now back home with my girls, Heaven and Lola.

"Heaven you are going to get in trouble with those girls if you keep saying stuff like that in the group." I joked with Lola and Heaven.

"I am not worried about that girl Karen. How she gon' say something so stupid like that?" Heaven said getting all defense. Heaven takes stuff so serious every time I try talking to her, so we end up in a lot of arguments.
