Veronica's POV
He brought me to the dining table and served me the most delicious foods.
Veronica : "Aaron , who cooked all these foods?"
Aaron : "I did. Why? Isn't them good?"
Veronica : "They are awesome!"
Aaron : "Thank you."
We continued talking and we didn't realise time passing. I looked at my phone and the time was 12 in the midnight. Suddenly , the power went off. I am totally scared of dark. I kept calling Aaron. In a sudden , I felt someone behind me , I quickly hugged him.
Aaron : "Hey , what happened? Why are you crying?"
Veronica : "I'm scared of the dark , Aaron!" ( sobbing )
Aaron : "Don't worry. I'll be with you always."
I felt like just say the I love you at him at the moment. But I couldn't.
The power came again and there was a cake in front of me. It said 'Happy Birthday Roni'. Holy Shit! I totally forgot about my birthday. And Nessa's.! Oh my , Aaron is so sweet.
Aaron : "Happy Birthday , Roni!"
Veronica : "Thank you , Aaron for this and everything."
Aaron : "Roni , I need to tell you something important."
Veronica : "Go on , Aaron."
Aaron's POV
This is the right time to express my feelings to her. I need to do this today.
Veronica's POV
He knelt down and took a rose and held it to me.
Aaron : "Veronica Jo Merrell , I should say.None of the girls in this world didn't melt my heart like you did. I'm in love with you. Will you be mine?"
At that moment , I wished I could say 'YES' but something stopped me. It's my relationship with my sister and my best friend. This one word could ruin everything that is left between me and them.
Veronica : "I'm sorry , Aaron. I can't do this."
Aaron's POV
What!? Why??? Why she can't do this?
Aaron : "What happen , Roni?"
Veronica : "It's just that I had only see you as a friend."
Aaron : "What!!? Then , what's with the flirting?"
Veronica : "Aaron! You are Impossible!"
She went out of the house. I was so disappointed.
Veronica's POV
I had to lie. For Nessa and Alexa. But I will always love him. He's my first love in my life and I gave him up for my sister and my best friend.
After I reached my house , I went to my room. I was receiving a call from Aaron.
Veronica : "Aaron?"
Aaron : "Roni , I had always knew you had feelings for me. Why are you hiding it?"
Veronica : "Aaron , stop dreaming. I never had feelings for you. You are such a bitch."
I switched off my phone and went to bed. It was a rough night for me. This was the best and the worst birthday in my life. I had hurt Aaron's feelings for me. I can't bear to see him in pain.
