Chapter 44 : Guilt

After 3 weeks.

Cameron's POV

I need to buy a tux for the engagement and I don't know whether Roni has already bought her dress.

Cameron : "Roni , did you buy your dress?"

Veronica : "Actually , I'm not good at shopping and you know that right?"

Cameron : "I'll buy it for you."

Veronica : "Aww , thank you."

Cameron : "I love you."

Veronica : "Love you too."

She planted a kiss on my cheek. Oh god , she's so perfect. I admired her when she was cooking.

Cameron : "Hey , can we live together when we get engaged?"

There was silence for a while.

Cameron : "Roni?"

Veronica : ( stammers ) "Yes , we can."

I ran and carried her of excitement. How I love her!

Veronica's POV

I love Cameron but when he asked if we could live together , it reminded me the moment when Aaron asked if we could live together. I need to get him out of my mind completely.

After A Week.

Veronica's POV

Finally the big day arrived. I'm so nervous. I wore the white dress which Cameron bought me , the heels Nessa bought me , the pearl necklace and earrings that my parents bought me and the bracelet Kian bought me. I didn't spend a penny for the day.

Vanessa : "Oh , how ravishing my big sister looking right now."

 I blushed.

Kian  : "Wow , looking stunning , Roni!"

Vanessa : "Kian , you shouldn't be here!"

Kian : "Sorry , my bad."

Vanessa : "Cameron is going to be flattered today."

Veronica : "Shut up!"

Vanessa : "It's your day!

Mariah's POV

I am going to see Roni and tell the truth for my brother's sake.

Mariah : "Aaron , I'm going to Beth's house!"

Aaron : "Come back home before 10pm."

Mariah : "I will."

Veronica's POV

Nessa and I were making jokes about how Kian and Cameron will look in tux when we heard someone knocking on my door.

Vanessa : "Mariah?"

Mariah : "Roni invited me."

It's Mariah! I missed her so much. I went and hug her.

Mariah : "Roni , I need to speak to you alone."

Vanessa : "I'll be downstairs."

Veronica : "What's it , Mariah?"

Mariah : "I need to tell you the truth."

Veronica : "What truth?"

Mariah : "The truth about the picture."

Veronica : "What picture?"

Mariah : "The one Aaron sleeping with Sarah."

Veronica : "It's over , Mariah! I'm getting engaged today!"

Mariah : "I just want to let you know that he is innocent."

Veronica : "In what way?!"

Mariah : "Remember the day you sat with Sarah and you adviced her?"

Veronica : "Yes."

Mariah : "She was feeling guilty for ruining your relationship with Aaron after that , so she came to meet me."

Veronica : "So?"

Mariah : "She gave this pen drive which have the pictures that she used to make the picture look like she and Aaron making out."

Veronica : "So he was innocent?"

Mariah : "Yes , he was in the house on that night with me."

Veronica : "Then why didn't you tell me?"

Mariah : "He wanted you to trust him not me."

I broke his heart. He was telling the truth. I was the one who was stupid. I started to cry. I felt like killing myself. My Aaron.

Mariah : "It's your day , you can get engaged to Cameron if you're happy. I know that you love Cameron but I also know that you love Aaron."

I was alone now. I need to think. I can't break Cameron's heart. I love him. But... It's my engagement and I'm ready for it. But I'm going to feel guilty forever.
