It's been 2 weeks since the Pete's Bagels incident and Jay has been by the hospital everyday to make sure I was okay since one of the officers died. 

" Hello beautiful " Jay told me as he dropped a bag of food on top of the counter where I was typing and I looked up smiling 

" Jay I have lunch in like an hour " I told him looking at my watch and finishing my report 

" Hey I have time plus I need to see one of your patients too " He told me smiling just a bit 

" Where is your partner liar " I told him as I sent in my report and got my tablet 

" Ehhhhh Uhhh in the parking lot " He told me shrugging 

" Liar " I told him smiling while grabbing the food and placing it next to the computer 

" Patient's name doofus " I told him as I turned on the tablet 

" Micheal Salaski " He told me smiling and spelling out the last name but before I can say anything two other people came 

" Hey Voight sent me " Burgess said as she told me hi and I smiled back 

" So you didn't lie " I told Jay as we both looked at Will smiling at us 

" Will you busy ?" I told him as he shook his head no 

" Let's go then " I told him as we lead the two officers to Micheal's room and telling Jay and Kim to wait outside real quick

" Hello Micheal this is Dr. Will Halstead and we are just gonna check up on you " I told him as Will smiled at him 

Once we checked him and saw he was okay I decided they could talk to him 

" Micheal police officers are here to talk to you. Be nice " I told him as Will and I walked out and Jay and Kim walked in 

" See you later " Jay said before he entered the room and I nodded at him as I kept walking with Will 

" So you and Jay huh ? " He told me while wiggling his eyebrows 

" No just friends you know that too " I told him as I shook my head 

" Yea but who said exs can't get back together " He told me while shrugging 

" me dumbo " I told him as we went in the doctors lounge 

" plus we got divorced because he developed feelings for Erin " I told Will as he looked at me 

" I know but is not like legally your Severide, you're still a Halstead " He told me while opening some peanuts he had 

" The only reason everybody calls you Severide is because you told them to and even sometimes they call you Dr. Halstead" He continued as I took a bite of my apple and Natalie walked in giving Will a kiss and waving to me 

" What are you guys talking about " She told us as she sat in the middle seat 

" How Will should stop thinking my ex husband and I are going to get back together " I told her while looking out seeing Jay walk out 

" You know I really did love him and I still do but I've been talking to someone else " I told them as I looked down at my fingers 

" We get it. He betrayed you and you were heartbroken but believe me Barrie I tried to tell him" Will told me as he looked at me 

" He even asked for the ring back to give to Erin, that's why every time she asked me something I ignored her" I told them as I felt a tear roll down my cheek
