Wishful thinking was suppose to justified every thing that I didn't do. It wasn't suppose to actually bring me to you.

An entire day has gone by and the sky began to dim once again.

Richard kept his eyes steadied on the road occasionally shifting to the figure sitting beside him who eyed him too. The road had been empty for the last two hours, with the occasional gas station or boarded buildings along the highway.

Down the road the twitching light caught his eye.

It was closer and clearer to see now, a neon sign.  A motel's sign to be exact, with bright blue letters saying vacancy.  Then it glitched  for the second in the span of two minutes, finally giving out its light on yet another "A" . His figure flicked the handle down as his right blinker switched on. Smoothly steering the wheels of the car into a parking spot.

"We're staying here for the night."

His voice rough as a result of his dry throat. Dick looked over to the side seeing a convertible  pull up right behind them. His lingered stare now set towards the silent teenager. She hadn't spoke a word since last night and to say that didn't bother him was the least of his worries at the moment.

"How much did you tell her?" His tone settled into everyone's bones, authoritative and not an ounce of glee.

"Nothing." The teenager grunted almost instantly. She rolled her eyes as his stare harden similar to a parent scolding their child.

"It didn't seem that way." He corrected before she finally snapped.

"I didn't say a word to her."

She said louder than before. Eyeing him through the review mirror making him look away. She was doing it again. Closing herself off, hiding everything that he needs to have knowledge of. They sat there sinking deeper into the leather bounded seats as they waited for them.

"She's special, isn't she?" Kory mumbles to them as she eyed the female getting closer to their car along with the boy. "Her aura it's something I have never seen before."

Rachel followed her longing stare as her own eyes settled on Y/n's silhouette. Her hands had grown clammy suddenly at her question.

"Y/n knows things." Rachel manged to say. "About everything and everyone. You wouldn't believe me if I told yo-." The sharp sound of the car door cut off her words. Dick had stepped out without letting her finish. Conflicted with her words, he had walked out based on his better judgement to talk to strange female himself.

Alone, without Rachel being involved.

Rachel watched how he walked into the front office without exchanging words with Y/n who stood momentarily stunned with his aggressive action of a few seconds earlier.

He didn't trust Y/n and now he didn't trust her either.

It wouldn't be the first time he didn't. Concluding was that he had his trust broken countless time before but, something inside made her believed that maybe bringing them together would change that.

Y/n.

She could change that. Right?

The room held the scent of old leather.

It quite big to Y/n's  surprise but what more could she had expected from the owner. The moment they stepped into the front office her glossy lips pulled into smirk eyeing him hungrily.
