Liliana was walking down the crowded hallways by herself. She looked down at her sneakers that moved her towards her next class. Her long hair blocked her peripheral vision as she walked. White wireless headphones were in her ears, blasting music as she walked.

Others in the hallway ignored her as she walked. She felt a couple of girls glance in her direction, glaring at her for wearing a bright blue short sleeved shirt with shorts. Her body shivered slightly as she picked up her pace. Her mind began to race with each step she took. Her eyes attempted to remain glued to the floor, but failed with each new person she passed.

Eventually, she began to walk at a faster than normal pace. The more she walked, the more people noticed her. Her eyes would glance at those around her, noticing that they were looking at her.

After a minute of walking past everyone, she suddenly felt a tap on her shoulder. She jumped while turning around to see who was behind her. To her delight, Brian was slowly waving at her. She quickly took out her earbuds and smiled at him.

"Hey." Brian said quietly.

"Hi!" Liliana quickly responded. "What's up?"

"I was about to ask you that." Brian responded as walked past her. "Let's walk and talk." He suggested.

"Oh, ya." Liliana said happily before leading the way to her classroom. "So what's going on?"

"I just wanted to ask you if you were heading back tonight." He asked her.

Liliana shook for a second as she remembered what he was talking about. "Today's my day off. Why?"

"I was just wondering. You know." Brian said while looking away. Liliana's smile grew as she stood in front of her classroom. Brian stopped suddenly, not expecting the destination so soon.

"I mean if you just want to hang out, we can." Liliana teased.

"Shut up! I wasn't gonna suggest that! Either way, be careful on your way home tonight. Just incase something happens with, Carol I think." Brian warned.

Liliana's smile quickly turned into a frown as she heard Carol's name. "Thanks. I will." She said before heading off to into her classroom.

As soon as she did, Brian turned around and began to roam the halls again. "I'm gonna get an earful when I get back. 'Stop being so shy and just say what you mean.'" He mumbled to himself.
