- I've been a naughty boy... You're warned...
Chapter Six (Nicky's POV)
This is awkward and I hate every single second of it.
This whole date thing was too sudden and damn it was too serious. I felt like I was underdress in my flannel shirt and khakis. I should have worn my Nike sneakers. Marc Jacob or not, everyone here was the same. Matthew in his fancy suit made me uncomfortable and we were basically in two different worlds. I couldn't concentrate and I went to social network to unwind.
Thank God this restaurant provided Wi-Fi, I scrolled down the screen of my cell and checking Leo's newest update in Facebook. I bit my lower lip when I saw Tiara posted something on Leo's wall, I clicked on the notification, scrolling down a bit.
The name is Tiara Scarlet, not TiaNA Scarlet. Go change it back!
I was started to chuckle at first but I was soon laughing out loud when I noticed Leo's cover story did name Tiara Scarlet to Tiana Scarlet.
This made my day.
My laughter soon died when I realized some of the guests were giving me nervewrecking gaze, looking down on me like I was pest.
I resisted the urge to groan and went back to my homepage, the last thing I wanted was people judging me because of my apprerance.
Matthew cleared his throat and I blushed, shoving my phone into my pocket. I looked up and watched as Matthew cut the piece of steak with his knife and stick it into his mouth. He chewed slowy with a brow raising at me. I gulped and shook away the thought. The way he acted so calm and composed, just like the others in this restaurant. Of course, they belonged here. Rich, smart, snobbish...
And they eat like the Queen of England.
I looked down at my untouched food, I stabbed it with my silverware. There's still white fume coming out from the meat. I sighed and dropped the fork, I told him I wasn't hungry. Still, he insisted to order me something. I was going to order a glass of tap water and a simple plate of green salad.
For Matthew, it was a glass of red wine and a piece of expensive steak.
"Stop playing with your food, Nicholas." He gave me a stern look, putting down his fork. He reached for his glass of red wine, sipping it so gently that it seemed he didn't drink anything at all.
"I told you I'm not hungry." I reiterated, playing the loose thread near my wrist.
"I told you time is an illusion, stop telling your mind that you're not hungry." He stick another piece into his mouth, "go on."
"But it's my stomach that isn't hungry." I complained and stabbed the steak, repeating the action a couple of time until I statisfied. Matthew wasn't appear to be happy about it, he sighed and took another sip of his red wine.
Matthew looked different, it's not just the suit. His personality changed completely, now he's just being an rich asshole. The Mickey Mouse guy I knew was brave and funny, a little stupid but cute. Apparently he wasn't. He acted like he was the God from above, commanding everyone to do this deed. Just because he drove a ferrari and dressed expensive, it didn't quite make him the leader of all.
Jerk.
"Who are you anyway?" I asked lazily, although I was too eager to find out what was behind his fake mask of personality.
"Eat your food then we'll talk." He chided, finishing up his steak.
"But I am not hungry! Which part of 'I am not hungry' you didn't know?" I whined and kicked his leg under the table. He winced but didn't complain, I smirked at his pain. Good to know he still had feeling.
