This takes place one month after the last chapter. Ruby has also stayed at beacon but she ditchs class alot to go and either train or spend time with you. She has also started blowing her team off so she can get more training. Right now y/n is teaching ruby how to fight this is where our story starts.
Y/ns pov
Ruby throws a hard left hook but i block it and deliver a hard punch to her side making her stumble back. ruby then delivers a hard kick to my face making me stumble back in shock. This was the first time ruby landed a hit on me. I smile at ruby and she smiles back at me.
Y/n: You have come far during this last month i think its time i teach you how to use a bow and arrow.
Ruby: But i have crescent rose why wouldn't i just use my scythe?
Y/n: You rely to much on your scythe and all of its tech i'm gonna teach you that even a weapon as simple as a bow and arrow can be just as deadly.
Ruby: Yes sir.
Y/n: Now get changed we are going shopping.
Ruby: Why?
Y/n: Hey your picking the bow out i never said i was just gonna give you one. Now get changed.
Ruby nods and uses her semblance to run off to the changing room. I Quickly put on my street clothing and walk out of the quiver with ruby following close behind.
Ruby: So what am i gonna do with my scythe?
Y/n: Simple your bow will be your primary and your scythe will be your secondary.
Ruby: Makes sense but what about when i'm at beacon.
Y/n: Then thats when you use your scythe.
Ruby: Makes sense.
We finally get to the weapon shop and walk inside but little did i know that rubys team was looking for her and they saw us enter the shop.
Ruby: Hi yes can i get that bow?

I sigh and pull out my card and use the money that oliver left me when he died. Ruby looks at me in shock as she grabs the bow and the quiver off of the counter. When we walked out of the store someone yelled rubys name.
???: Ruby where have you been?!
We turn around to see rubys team running up to us.
Yang: Sister whats been going on with you?
Ruby: Nothing i'm fine.
Weiss: Thats a lie you have been ditching class and even ditching us just so you can do whatever it is that you do.
Blake: Its very concerning we are worried about you.
Ruby: Look what i do with my time is none of your business so just let it go.
Ruby turns to walk off but yang grabs her arm.
Yang: No your coming back to beacon right now!
Ruby: No i'm not now let go of me yang!
Ruby trys to tug her arm away but yang keeps a tight grip on her arm. Just then ruby turns around and delivers a hard punch to yangs jaw making her let go of her and stumble back in shock.
Ruby: I said go back to beacon last chance!
Weiss: Ruby...please.
I move in front of ruby.
Y/n: She said leave so do as she says or face me.
Yang: And who do you think you are?!
Y/n: Someone who could put you in a body bag if i really wanted to now leave.
Yang glares at me but i stand strong and the 3 girls eventually back off and leave. I turn to face ruby and she sighs.
Ruby: Thanks for that y/n now come on lets get back to the quiver.
I nod and we start to walk back to the quiver. When we get there i tell ruby to change into her training clothes. I also change aswell and walk out to meet ruby at the shooting range.
Y/n: alright ruby i'm gonna teach you how to use a bow and arrow.
Ruby nods.
Y/n: Ok first off hold the bow with one hand on the bow and the other hand on the arrow. Then release the arrow.
Ruby nods and she fires an arrow but it misses.
Y/n: Thats good now try again.
Ruby: got it.
She fires another arrow and it misses. We keep doing this all day and all night until 12 am. by this time ruby and i are tired as hell.
Y/n: You did good for your first time with a little more practice you will be ready to come out on the field with me.
Ruby: I cant wait!!
She starts to do a victory dance and i chuckle.
Y/n: This is gonna be fun
We then part ways for the day i head back to my house and ruby heads back to beacon. all i know is that this is gonna be fun.
