Passing on the torch (ruby rose x male green arrow reader)

Chapter 6 The fire archer vs the emerald archer.

This chapter takes place 2 weeks after the last chapter since then the rest of team rwby has not told ozpin that ruby is red arrow. along with that y/n and ruby have been taking out white fang base after white fang base they are almost unstoppable together. This chapter starts up with ruby out on patrol and y/n is back at the quiver.

Y/ns pov

I wonder how rubys patrol is going? Then again i did say that i was gonna take today off so i could get some extra training in. Just then the quivers computer went off. My eyes widen as i run over to it only to see some girl in a red dress has captured ruby and is holding her hostage.

???: Ladys and gentlemen this is what happens when you defy the white fang. I have red arrow here and in about an hour if the green arrow doesnt show up then ill kill her.

Y/n: Hang on ruby i'm coming..

I grab my green arrow gear and suit up. Then i jump onto my motorbike and drive to the location that ruby is being held at. When i get there i see that the lady is no where to be seen but she left 2 people to guard ruby. One has green hair the other has silver hair. Quickly i move up to a vantage point and try to get a clean shot. 

Y/n: Bullseye

I line up a clean shot with the green haired girls side and fire the arrow making her fall to the floor and scream out in pain.

Silver haired guy: Emerald!

I take this chance and drop down on top of the silver haired guy. He trys to get me off of him but i quickly stab an arrow into his leg making him fall to one knee. Then using this chance i throw the silver haired guy into a wall and use 2 arrows to pin him to the wall.

Y/n: Stay down.

The green haired girl stands up and opens fire on me with her pistols. I look around and see some boxes. I duck behind them using them as cover. Just then the green haired girl had to reload so i take this chance and jump out of my cover and fire 2 arrows into her arms pinning her to a large crate.  

Green haired girl: Cinder hes here!

I quickly hit her across the face with my bow knocking her out. 

Y/n: Go to sleep.

Just then i hear slow clapping as i turn around to see the lady from the computer she is holding a bow and arrow aswell. i draw an arrow from my quiver and she does the same we stand there in a stand off.

Cinder: I'm suprised you almost beat 2 of my best me without any effort. But lets see what you can really do.

Cinder lets her arrow fly and i let mine fly aswell. our arrows meet in the middle but my arrow goes right threw her arrow making her duck under the shot. I smirk as i start to fire more arrows at cinder making her duck behind cover. But i use this to my advantage and fire an explosive arrow destroying cinders cover. Her eyes widen as she fires 3 arrows at once. I dodge 2 of the arrows but the final arrow i catch it and fire the arrow back at her. She ducks under it and fire an arrow in my leg making me slide on the ground. I grunt in pain as i fire an arrow into her shoulder making her duck behind cover. 

Y/n: You know you cant beat me so give up!

Cinder: Oh please this is gonna be easy.

I rip the arrow out of my leg as i move to cover just in time to dodge one of cinders arrows. Cinder then runs over to my cover and trys to get the drop on me but i had already moved into a hiding spot. 

Cinder: Gotcha! 

Just then i jump out from my hiding spot and deliver a hard kick to cinders gut making cinder stumble back in shock. she then changes her bow into duel swords. I chuckles as i get into my fighting stance. She runs at me and trys to slash me but i block it with my bow and hit her in the gut making her stumble back in shock. Taking this chance i run at her and deliver 2 punchs to her gut making her fall over. But cinder delivers a sweep kick making me fall on the ground. She then stands up and puts one of her swords to my neck.

Cinder: I win.

Y/n: In your dreams.

I deliver a hard kick to her gut making her get off of me. taking this chance i deliver 2 strikes to her gut making her spit up blood. Finally i deliver a hard punch to her jaw sending her threw a crate. Cinder grunts in pain as blood drips from her lips. She stands up and runs to the window and jumps out of it. My eyes widen as i limp to the window and watch her land on a bullhead and fly off.

Y/n: Fuck!

I turn around and see that ruby is all bloodied and beaten. I run over to her and untie her she hugs me.

Ruby: I knew you would stop her..

Y/n: She got away..

Ruby: We will stop her later now lets go home.

Y/n: We?

Ruby then pulls me into a kiss shocking me. But i kiss her back making her wrap her arms around my neck. 

Ruby: I love you y/n l/n...i wont let anything happen to you ever..

Y/n: I love you too ruby rose and i wont let anyone ever kidnap you again.

Ruby: Lets go home.

We walk back to the quiver and put our gear back. After that we went back to my apartment and let me tell you it was a night to remember.
