This chapter takes place 3 months after the last chapter. Ruby has basically become a master with a bow and arrow but not even close to your mastery of a bow and arrow. Ruby has also became more distant with her team. Shes even grown more distant to her sister yang. Meanwhile you have trained ruby almost to be a master in martial arts. The story starts off with you taking ruby out on her first mission.
Y/ns pov
Me and ruby had finished up training for the day when all of the sudden i got notification on the quivers computer. I run over to it and look at it to see that a group of white fang grunts were steeling a bunch of dust along with adam tarus himself. I turn to ruby.
Y/n: Its time.
Ruby: What do you mean?
Y/n: Your coming with me its time i introduce the world to my new partner Speedy.
Ruby: Its red arrow!
I chuckle as i change into my green arrow gear.
Ruby: Wait what am i gonna wear?
Y/n: Open that box.
Ruby opens the box only to see her new gear. Her eyes turn to stars as she uses her speed to put her costume on. She also grabs her bow and quiver and puts it on her back.

Ruby: Ready for action green arrow.
Y/n: Then lets go.
We leave the quiver and grapple up onto the rooftops. Then we both start jumping from rooftop to rooftop until we get to the location that the computer showed. When we get there we get there we see the white fang grunts loading the dust onto a truck. I smirk as turn to ruby who nods. Ruby fires a flash bang arrow right in the middle of them allowing me to drop down and start killing the grunts.
White fang grunt 1: Shit its the green arrow get him!
2 grunts run at me. The first grunt trys to slash me with his sword but i block it with my bow and hit him across the face with the end of my bow. Then other grunt trys to kick me but i quickly hit him across the face with my bow. Ruby drops down and fires 2 arrows at 2 unsuspecting grunts. Then i see 3 grunts come out holding assault rifles. I fire 2 arrows taking out the first 2 grunts and ruby fires an arrow taking out the last grunt.
Y/n: Is that all of them speedy?
Ruby: Its red arrow!
Y/n: Fine fine red arrow is that all of them?
Ruby: Yeah thats all of them now to find adam.
We start walking twords the building to start our search for adam but 2 bullets are fired in front of us. I quickly turn around and draw an arrow. So does ruby we look to see that yang is standing there along with the rest of team rwby.
Yang: Drop your bows and put your hands in the air.
Ruby: Not gonna happen.
Weiss: Dont make us hurt you.
Y/n: I would be more worried about what we will do to you so i'm giving you one last chance walk away.
Yang: get them now!
Weiss dashes at ruby and trys to slash her with her rapiar but ruby blocks it with her bow. She then delivers a hard punch to weiss gut making her stumble back. Taking this chance she runs up to weiss and kicks her rapiar out of her hand before delivering a hard roundhouse kick making weiss fall to the ground. Just then yang runs at me and trys to shoot me with her gauntlets but i just start doing back flips dodging each of yangs shots. Quickly i draw an arrow and fire it right at yangs knee. But yang dodges it and runs up to me and trys to punch me. But i counter it by delivering a sweep kick to yangs legs making her fall to the ground. Yang then trys to punch me again but i just catch her fist and twist her arm making her cry out in pain. But then blake runs at ruby and trys to slash her but ruby fires an arrow into blakes leg making her fall to the ground before she can even deliver the slash. Just then weiss gets back up and runs at me she uses her glyphs to speed up twords me. I smirk as i fire a grapple arrow into a nearby building and grapple up onto it. Then i quickly draw a flash bang arrow and fire it at weiss blinding her and making her slam into a wall. Yang then fires 2 shots at me making me jump to the next building. Yang then opens fire on me making me dodge her shots. Just then ruby comes out of no where and delivers a hard punch to yangs face sending her stumbling back. Taking this chance I fire an arrow into yangs leg making her fall to one knee.
Ruby: Its over dont make me hurt you more then i have to.
I drop down from the rooftop that i'm on and run over to ruby. All of the sudden yang delivers a hard punch knocking rubys hood off of her face. Ruby holds her face in pain as she looks at her sister in shock. Yang looks even more shocked.
Yang: R-ruby?
Ruby: Hi sis.
Yang: Y-your red arrow?!
Ruby:...
Yang: I thought we were gonna be heros. i thought we were gonna be huntresses together.
Ruby: You really cant see it? Ozpin is just as bad as salam he killed the first green arrow and he wont hesitate to take another life if he has to.
Yang: Ruby you dont know what you want.
Ruby: I can speak for myself yang! every time i try and do something by myself you hold me back. well guess what i'm done being held back i'm gonna stop this war and i'm gonna do it my way.
Ruby pulls her hood back over her face and walks away from yang just leaving her there with her bloodied and beaten team i follow close behind. all we hear is yang yelling for ruby to come back.
Yang: Ruby please dont leave beacon! Dont turn your back on the side of good!
Yang: Ruby? Ruby! Ruby!! please come back!
Me and ruby fire our grapple arrows into a building and grapple away leaving yang and her knocked out team alone.
Time skip to when y/n and ruby get back to the quiver. still y/ns pov
When we got back i changed out of my gear and look at ruby.
Y/n: Hey you know you can always leave this life behind and go back to yang right?
Ruby: no...i wanna do this i wanna keep working with you.
I smile and hold my arms out for a hug. Ruby runs at me and pulls me into a hug. Small sobs can be heard.
Ruby: Its just *Sniff* Hard to leave my *Sniff* Old life behind..
Y/n: I know...it was for me too.
We stay like this for a while not letting each other go afried that if we did then something bad would happen.
Yangs pov
Weiss: So what your telling us is that ruby has left beacon?
Yang: Yes and shes the new red arrow..
Blake: We need to go to ozpin with this information.
Yang: No!
Weiss: Pardon?
Yang: This stays between us and us only. I dont want ruby getting in trouble for no reason.
Weiss: I understand now lets head back to beacon.
Yang: Yeah lets go...
We start to head back to beacon with fresh memory's of ruby in our head.
