A New Goodbye(Chapter 24)

Hey guys. I know it has been a long time. I was really really busy working on Beauty and the Beast the musical. I was acting in it and was working on the costumes for it and it consumed most of my time. So I hope that you will forgive me and that this chapter might make up for it.

One Week Later

Ariana's PROV

"I won't let that ever happen to you again." Niall said taking my shoulders and making me look into his eyes. "I promise."

Niall's PROV

It's been two weeks seance Ari has been in the hospital and I can't stop blaming myself for it all. My mind knows it really isn't my fault, but my heart doesn't. I told her that I was always going to protect her and never let any harm come to her, I lied to her. I lied to my own sister, my little sister, and because of that she might not make it out alive.

Liam's PROV

Greg was released a week ago, Maura yesterday and Ari, well, she was still in a coma. Niall could not bring himself to go see her. He just sat outside her door, day and night waiting for something to happen. But, it never did, he just sat there growing weaker and weaker not really eating or drinking anything. The hospital staff says that he is growing to weak and they have had to force him to eat and drink a couple of times so that he doesn't have to be hospitalized. It's sad, how one little thing can suck the life out of a caring and nice person, it's scary. And Louis, I don't know where he is, none of us do. All I know is that his mum called and said that he was with her and was still watching over Ariana. Whatever that means. We are all going down hill. I just wish that Ariana would wake up, wake up, and save us all from going mad.

No One's PROV

But, Ariana didn't wake up that day, or the next day. Not even in the next week or the next month. The boys had to go on with tour. They were not allowed to stay. Greg stayed at the hospital though. He went every other day to check on his baby sister. To wash her hair, change her clothes, do her nails, and yes, shave her legs. He felt as though she was close to him in a way when he did this. Maura visited on the weekends, to make sure that everything was in fact alright. Niall would video call Maura every Saturday at 2 pm sharp until six thirty pm. He would take over watching her and would just talk to his mum about her.

No one knew when Ariana would wake up again. The doctors didn't think it would be far to everyone if they kept her alive. They didn't think that she was going to wake up ever. So, on April 12th everyone came together again at Ariana's bed side to say a final goodbye. It was her birthday. She was turning eighteen. She was going to become an adult. Instead, she was going to have her life taken from her in the least painful way. Everyone brought gifts for her, something that had a meaning to them. Paul and Brooke can as well to say goodbye. Paul had become a father figure to Ariana in the time that they knew each other and Brooke was like a sister to her.

The doctors came in to unplug her from the machine that would take her life from her. Niall couldn't watch his little sister being taken away from the world. Just as they were about to pull the plug everyone heard an almost silent noise, sort of like a moan. Then two eyes that they never thought were going to open did, and a weak voice came shortly after.

"Niall?" It asked softly. He turned around and saw the source of the voice, it was Ariana.

Yay! I literally was holding back tears through that whole chapter!!! That was the hardest thing ever to write!! Again I am sorry that it took so long to post. I was working on Beauty and the Beast and I hope that you will be able to forgive me.
