I'm gonna warn you now that I kinda made everyone a little OOC. So sorry ig best I really wanted some tension and drama!!
~~

This is gonna suck

I thought as I sat in my chair biting my lip and fiddling with my fingers. My nerves were bouncing off the charts as my leg bounced up and down nervously as we waited in the restaurant for the rest of the team's arrival.

It was so nerve-wracking to me. Knowing that your best friend/crush is going to be showing up with a girl you hate; practically glued to his side like the leech she is. I wasn't close to the blonde, nor did I want to be. She was just so....so...annoying. I have a million reasons to why I didn't like her, but if I even tried I'd need a few books to only scratch the surface. I know people will criticize me on how 'disrespectful' it is to talk about your own teammate like that. Well...

Fuck off.

I have every right to be mad.
To feel betrayed.
To feel spiteful.
To be jealous.

I still can't get over the fact that someone so conniving and so deceitful could worm their way into Natsu's heart.

It makes NO sense!!

I was snapped out of my mental meltdown by Gray's hand appearing on my shoulder. I blink a few times before my eyes lock onto his concerned expression. "Are you sire you're gonna be ok? You've been zoning out ever since we got here." He claimed in a worry laced tone. I send him a sincere smile before locking my eyes with his.

"I told you before. I'm fine." I lied through my teeth as he gave me as he gave me a skeptical look before removing his hand from my shoulder. "Y'know you don't have to be here if you don't wanna be. We could always order take-out and crash at my place." He suggested.

I smiled at the memories of us practically having a slumber party in his living room. We'd always watch horror movies and scream at the characters telling them what and what not to do. Throwing popcorn at the screen and laughing at the expected jumpscares. I accidentally let a chuckle escape my lips as I recalled the time Gray got scared by a small jumpscare that appeared after a disembodied corpse was found in the fridge. I remember laughing so hard at his girly scream.

"Hey hey hey, come back. You were zoning out again." Gray chuckled as I was startled by him flicking my forehead. "What goes on in that head of yours?" He asks. I simply smile and flick his forehead back. "I was thinking about that movie were you almost peed your pants." I laughed. "Hey shut up! You imagine going in your fridge and finding your neighbor's head starting at you! You'd be scared just as much as I was!" He argued. I did nothing but laugh harder at his failed attempt to save himself. I simply wipe the tears froming in my eyes and sigh.

"We should do it again sometime
(N/n)." Gray says in a quieter voice and a hand covering his face. My mood immediately fades at the reminder that I'm only 'free' for a few more hours, but I wouldn't let Gray know that. "Yeah. Yeah we should." I say through a pained smile.

Gray opened his mouth to say something, but a firm voice boomed through the restaurant. "I told you two! Missions are NOT the time nor place to begin devouring each other's faces! One more slip up and you're BOTH going to be stuck cleaning the guild's bathrooms! Understood!?" A familiar scarlet-haired roared as she lectured a blonde and familiar mop of salmon hair. My heart dropped as my mind pieced the puzzle together.
