Chapter 12

-Time Skip-

Joker's P.O.V

Another movie has ended and the credits appeared on the screen. I looked to my side and saw (Y/N) sleeping peacefully, snuggled up against my side.

Bzzt bzzt

I looked at the coffee table to see her phone's screen light up. '1 new message(s)' was visible on the lockscreen. I carefully reached towards it and picked it up, I managed not to wake (Y/N) up.

I unlocked her phone, I know her password because we're  best friends. I hate using that word, I love her and I want her to love me back. After frowning slightly I opened the message:

From: Mum

Honey it's late, if you're staying at (F/N's) let me know asap, love you xoxox

I looked up at the clock. 11:23PM. At that moment I looked at (Y/N). She was fast asleep, I wouldn't dare wake her up. Then I looked back at the phone. I typed up a message.

To: Mum

Hey Mum, sorry for worrying you, we were having a movie marathon and lost track of time. I'll be staying over (F/N's) tonight. Love you xoxo

Then I clicked send and not long after came a response:

From: Mum

Ok honey, stay safe xoxo

I locked the phone screen and placed it back on the coffee table before glancing at (Y/N) once again. "Forgive me, I just wanted you to stay here by my side a little longer..." I whispered and pecked her forehead softly.

She started to shift slightly in her sleep and her eyes begun to open slowly. (Y/N) looked up at me with those beautiful, sleepy, (E/C) eyes. "What time is it?" She asked hoarsely.

"It's almost midnight, I texted your mum that your staying over, I'm really sorry but I didn't want to wake you up." I stated and licked my lips.

(Y/N) sat up and stretched slightly. "It's okay, I mean you didn't want her to worry so it's fine." The (H/C) haired girl replied. I smiled softly as she hugged me.

I embraced her back and kissed her forehead. She jerked up and looked at my face. Surprise written all over her face. It was at that moment I realised what I had done.

"I-I-I...uh...alright...there's no point in hiding it any longer...I love you (Y/N)...and it just hurts me when you call me just a friend..." I confessed and let my head hung low...

Your P.O.V

He...loves me? When I was kidnapped he did say that he loved me but I thought that after breaking out of Arkham his feelings changed. I blushed deeply. I thought of him as my best friend but after his confession, I'm starting to think things through.

Do I love him?

Jack had his eyes closed and his head hung low. I mustered up all my courage and reacted to his confession...

I kissed him.
