Hello, my name is ________ and I'd like to get to know you. I want to know all about the way you think. How do you feel about me, yourself, and the world around you. I want to understand how your mind works. What makes you tick. I'd like your opinion on things, even if I don't agree, I shall respect it. I will try to put myself in your shoes. Despite your flaws, I will search endlessly for something good in you. And appreciate everything you do. And I'd like you to do the same for me too.
I want to know about all the little things. Your favorite food, music, color, animal, hobbies. Your dreams and your fears. The insecurities you rather hide. The fact you are ashamed of being yourself around others. That you value other's acceptance more than your freedom to be happy in life. I need you to be honest with me. Say it like it is. Have no mercy and tell me what you believe in. Because I definitely will if you don't.
I hope you can let me love you for you who are. Not who you think you should be. Not what you believe will please me. Not because you're too scared to get hurt in a world where just living is painful. I want to laugh with you about random things. I want to make good memories to look back at. Even the ones where you cry in my shoulder and I wipe your tears away. At least you're not alone, even if you feel lonely.
I'm just like you. Always trying to figure the world out. Stressing over what I can't have, things I need to do, and trying to be happy while not worrying about how much time I have left. For once, I said what was in my mind. It was the best feeling in the world. Since then I could never go back to feeling guilty over white lies and regretting not saying how I felt. Hi, my name is ________ and it's really nice to meet you.
