"You're so dumb."
Ambrose laughed throwing a pillow at Stefan who sat crossed leg in front of him.
"I am not."
Stefan laughed brightly clutching the pillow.
"Agree to disagree."
Ambrose grinned as Stefan scoffed throwing the pillow back at him.
"I'm going to get some food, be back soon."
Stefan grinned kissing Ambrose's forehead.
"I love you!"
Brody smiled.
"I love you too."

When Stefan got back to the hospital the last thing on his mind was food.
In fact, the bag clattered to the ground as Stefan rushed into Brody's hospital room.
"What's happening?"
Stefan's shouted at Dr. Langdon as a nurse left the room shaking her head.
"Stefan..."
Andy shook his head sadly sniffling.
"No. No, no, no you can't go."
Stefan cried kneeling beside Ambrose's bed and taking his hand.
"It's okay."
Ambrose whispered hoarsely a soft smile on his lips.
"You didn't get to live."
Stefan cried squeezing his hand tightly.
"Are you kidding?"
Ambrose gave a weak chuckled resting their intertwined hands on his chest.
"Stefan Salvatore loved me. I lived a better life than anybody in the whole entire world."
Ambrose whispered tears falling down his face.
Stefan choked out a sob resting his head on the bed.
"Does it hurt?"
Stefan asked softly resting his lips on the back of Ambrose's hand as the heart monitor beeped wildly. 
"A lot."
Brody gave a fake chuckle.
"But I don't want to talk about that, I want to talk to you."
Stefan took a shaky breath as more tears spilled from both the boys eyes.
"I love you so much Stefan."
Ambrose cried.
"I don't think I can live without you."
Stefan cried out weakly.
"Promise me something okay?"
Ambrose whispered coughing weakly.
"Promise you'll find someone new and you'll love them like I love you. Promise you won't forget me."
Ambrose cried violently now, the thought of never seeing Stefan scaring him.
"I p-promise."
Stefan whispered his lips trembling.
Ambrose leaned forward pressing a kiss to Stefan's cheek.
"I love you Stefan."
The Salvatore hugged the boy closely squeezing him tight, kissing his forehead.

And suddenly there was a long high pitched beep.
"No!"
Stefan sobbed hugging Ambrose's body tighter.
"Please, don't go."
Stefan cried his sobs shaking his body.
"Stefan."
Andy whispered tears going down his own face as well.
Stefan buried his face into Ambrose's chest sobbing.
"It wasn't supposed to end like this."
