Your POV
'I can hardly believe it. My dream is literally coming true, I'm actually becoming a Shadowhunter!', you said to Clary and Izzy as they stood beside you.
'I cannot believe you're actually getting your first runes today!', Clary squealed, and squeezed your hand.
'Oh god I hope it doesn't hurt too much', you said, leaning on Izzy for support.
'I think I'm going to be sick', you said, as Izzy put her hand on your shoulder.
'You're gonna be fine. You're like the strongest mundane ever!', she squeezed your shoulder sympathetically.
'Excited?', Jace asked, coming up behind you.
'Try: So not ready for this', you said, nervously laughing.
'I know it seems scary, that's what I thought too, but it doesn't hurt that badly, you always think it hurts more than it does', Jace said, ruffling your hair, a habit he had, unfortunately, picked up ever since he found out you were siblings.
You just gave him a grin.
'What if I'm not worthy?', you asked, your stomach doing flips.
'Both your parents were Shadowhunters and you were injected with Angel syrup. I think you'll be fine', Clary said, hugging your shoulders.
'See you out there', she said, giving you one final squeeze.
'Yea', you said.
Izzy gave you a hug before she left and then there was Jace.
'I love you y/n and you are going to make me proud no matter what happens', he said, before giving you a bear hug and opening the door to leave, Magnus was there.
'A quick word if I may', he said, stepping into the room.
'I noticed your name, on the parchment, y/n Bane-Herondale. You didn't have you keep my name, I'm not even your real parent. If you keep it, everyone is going to know that you had another life, one that wasn't a Shadowhunter life', Magnus said, looking at the ground.
'I want people to know, I want to remember. It is my name. It always will be', you said, hugging him.
'But Stephan Herondale was your father', he said, you could have sworn you heard his voice wobble.
'He may have been my father, but he wasn't my Dad', you gave him one last squeeze then walked out.
The whole ceremony went flew by, drinking from the cup. Applying the runes (Jace was right they really didn't hurt as much as you thought they would) repeating the Shadowhunters solemn vow.
Then that was it.
You were Y/n Bane-Herondale: Shadowhunter.
Xxxxxxxxxxx
It had been three weeks since you had become a Shadowhunter.
You had never felt so happy.
These were your people, you were a Shadowhunter.
You knew everything the next Shadowhunter did.
You had been training with Jace every day, and sometimes you would train with Clary and Izzy, even Alec.
You and Simon had become the cooks of the house, since no one else seemed to be able to cook.
You enjoyed your time in the kitchen with Simon, he was nice, but brotherly.
You respected the relationship between Simon and Izzy and so Izzy had finally stopped seeing you as a threat.
Clary stopped seeing you as a threat the moment she found out you were Jace's sister, and well... Your weren't going to go after your Dad's man.
So you didn't really have anyone.
When everyone had "Cosy Couple" days, you usually spent time in the training room, or you went out for the day.
'Hey Clary, what's up?', you asked as she barged into the training room.
'Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god', she was almost on the verge of tears.
'Clary what's wrong?', you asked, going over to her, as she was currently crouched on the floor, so you went and kneeled next to her.
She looked up at you with terrified eyes 'They want to bring him back'
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
'This is ridiculous!', you whispered harshly, not wanting to wake Clary.
'What else do you suggest we do?!', Jace whispered harshly back.
'Oh I don't know, maybe, DONT resurrect the psycho who tried to BURN DOWN THE WORLD!', you whispered, getting louder.
'Y/n the Endarkened are waking up! What else are we supposed to do?!', Jace said, pulling you out of Clary's room and into the hallyway.
'I thought you burned them! I thought their ashes were scattered and whatnot? So how did they manage to bring themselves back to life!?', you asked, talking now, but still in a low tone.
'We don't know!', Jace said, running his hand through his hair.
'Didn't you burn the pretty boy too? How are you supposed to bring him back?!', you asked, starting to walk down the hall way.
'I don't know, I just- Those..... Things. They're almost unstoppable. We wouldn't have beat them last time if Sebastian didn't die', Jace said, talking normally now that you were away from Clary's room.
She had passed out a few minutes after finding you in the training room, a few minutes after that Jace had run in, looking for her. She had just been put to bed.
'Jello peoples', you said, walking into the kitchen that was filled with Shadowhunters.
'Hey y/n', Izzy said, she was sitting on the kitchen bench eating old Chinese take out, her legs wrapped around Simon.
'So once the figure out a way to bring him back to life they're going to what? Force him to help? Something tells me he won't be in a rush to shut down his little friends', Izzy said, offering some to you which you turned down.
'I know how to bring him back', you said.
Suddenly all eyes were on you.
'How sweetie?', Mrs. Lightwood asked.
'Yes do tell', said Magnus, who had arrived at the door with Alec.
'Well Jonath- Sebastian is part demon, when you kill a demon it returns to the void right? And demons can leave the Void, if they find a way. So all we have to do is enter the Void retrieve Jon-Sebastian and bring him back here', you said, suddenly all the Shadowhunters stampeded toward the door.
'I'll go and watch over that', Magnus said, hurrying off.
'How did you figure it out?', Clary asked, appearing at the door.
'It just came to me', you said.
'So I've got a plan. Its not a good plan, but its a Jace plan!', Jace said, looking pleased with himself.
'What?', you asked cautiously.
'We should go, they're going to send a team right? But we know Sebastian better than anyone! We should go instead!', he exclaimed.
Everyone looked around at each other and nodded.
'Alright then, its settled!', Jace said, clapping his hands.
'Do you do this a lot?', you asked Clary, while Alec and Jace went to the armoury and Simon and Izzy packed a backpack of food.
'Yes', Clary nodded.
'Honestly, its a wonder you're all still alive!'

'We need warlock blood for the spell to work', you said, giving out the instructions.
'A warlock would be preferable for opening the portal but we could do it with Clary's runes', you said, stocking yourself with weapons.
'Leave the blood to me', Alec said, then disappeared.
Ten minutes later he reappeared with blood soaked up in a shirt.
'Will this work?', he asked, holding up the bloodied shirt.
'Yea that will be fine, how did you even get it?', you asked, taking the bloodstained shirt from him and giving it to Clary.
'I bit Magnus.'
Everyone paused.
'I'm sorry did you say you bit Magnus?', you asked incredulously.
'Well yes', he answered shyly.
'I see', you said.
'Its open', Clary breathed, and it was indeed open.
'I thought it would be harder to create it', she mused.
'Well the point is that no-one is stupid enough to want to', you said, looking back at your companions.
'Picture him, Sebastian, Jonathan, it will mean, hopefully, that we land near him', you instructed.
Dads going to kill me
Then you jumped.
