Rapunzel 2

I was nervous about giving Eugene the Crown. It was around 6:30pm, so the lantern show will begin in about an hour or so.

It was already dark. And me and Eugene rented a boat. We were in the middle of the ships, when it started.

I almost tipped the boat over just to stand up.

I started to sing. It was a hunch.

All those days

Watching from the windows

Outside looking in

All that time

Never really knowing

Just how blind I've been

Now I'm here

Blinking in the starlight

Suddenly I see

Standing here

It's all so clear

I'm where I'm meant to be

And at last I see the light

And it's like the the fog has lifted

And it's warm and real and bright

And the world has somehow shifted

Talking:

I turn around to see Eugene holding two lanterns. I sit.

"I have something for you too. I should've given it to you before, but, I was just scared. But the thing is, I'm not scared anymore. You know what I mean?" I say.

He goes to grab the satchel. But then pushes it onto the ground. "I'm starting to."

I smile and we throw our lanterns up.

Talking:

We lean in to kiss, but Eugene pulls away. Darn!

We pull the boat over and Eugene says he'll be right back.

"He'll be back Pascal." I say to Pascal, and to me.

About five minutes later, I see Eugene walking back here.

"Oh! I thought you left me." I say. But Eugene turns out to be two guys.

"He did." One says.

Then the other tries putting mean a sack, but I run. My hair gets caught on a branch,and i pull.

Bonk bonk.

"Rapunzel!" Mother calls.

"Mother?" I whisper to myself.

I run back to see mothers worried expression. She looks at me as if to say 'he left didn't he?'.

I nod and she holds her arms out to hug me. I hug her and cry. We head back to the tower.
