A/N: remember that lapis doesn't know Peridot's real name and never seen Peridot without her visors; Peridot tells Lapis to call her Grey, so don't get confused.

Peridot POV

Lapis and I got ready for the mall, well expect for me I already prepared myself this morning. Lapis doesn't have any clothes and I have to lend her mine it's a little bit too big for her though. I hope she's fine with wearing it though, all I got tux, suit, and hoodies count the jeans too I don't want for her to think it's plain or something.

I wait for an hour for Lapis to get ready. "Grey?" I hear Lapis call. "Yes Lazul-" I look back and she Lapis wearing my dark blue hoodie and skinny jeans. She's gorgeous...... Wait Wat! Peridot calm your gay ass down you can't fall for her! My thoughts were bothered by Lapis thank stars "Uhm... Thanks for lending me your clothes, Grey" she said with a slight smile on her face. I blushed "Ye-yea-yeah no prob bob" my voice slightly cracks. Smooth Peridot smooth.

"Uhm... You ready Lazuli?" "Hm? Oh yeah I am let's go buy your stuff". Buy my stuff? What stu- oh right "my stuff". "Alright then let's go" I opened the front door for Lapis and grab my wallet, my car keys and house keys and locked the door.

I opened the front passenger car sit for Lapis and closed for her too I went to the driver seat and reminded Lapis to put on her seat belt then off we go to the mall.

Lapis POV

We sat in silence while Grey was paying attention driving focus on the road. Then I decide to break the ice "Hey... Grey?" "Yes Lazuli" "Why are you wearing that?" I asked looking at her "Wearing what?" "That" I said pointing her glasses thingy. She looked at where I was pointing then towards me she looks like she saw a ghost. "I... Uhm... This is a present from my friend" "Oh.... But I can't see your face, well I can see only half of your face... Can I see you without your..." I said swirling my finger while pointing at her glasses thingy "My visors?" "Yea visors" "Uhm.... Sorry I don't think so..." "Why?" "...... Personal problems" she deadpanned "Oh okay sorry..." I look down at my thighs feeling guilty "Don't need to apologize, there's nothing to apologize" she said giving me a smile but the smile looks...... sad...

"Oh okay" I continue to look down until the car stop. "Well here we are!" she shouted like a kid. I giggled at her cute childish behavior.

She got out the car and opened the car door for me. I blushed and thank her. She locked her car and jogged up to me and intertwined our hands I blushed again. She gives me a smile I swear I could see a small blush on her cheeks.

We walked into the mall hands still locked together. I started to get nervous I haven't been outside for so long; Jasper had been keeping me in the house for years and forced me into an introvert. The thought of sent shivers to my spine  I started shaking all those horrible things that Jasper had done to me, memories of the pain and torture I went through starts to come back I didn't even realize I stopped walking or crying until I felt a familiar warm imbrace.

It's was Grey. She held on me tightly and gently pet my head while whispering soft soothing words to me. "Shh.... Its okay I'm here. It's okay I'm here... She not gonna hurt you because I'm here, I'm here to protect you to keep you safe, I promise she won't hurt you again. You're safe with me..." her words are so soothing so calming I feel so safe in her arms she's petting my head so gently. I wrapped my hands around her waist and hold onto her tightly.

She pulled away then gently cup my cheek with her soft hand lightly caressing my cheek. "You okay?" "Ye-yeah thanks Grey, sorry if I disturb you from your shopping..." I apologize sheepishly "I don't care about that, I care about you Lazuli... Are you sure you're okay?" I was taken back by her words it's sounds so sincere and true, I just met her and she cares so much about me.
