The school halls have started to feel safer than they did on my first day. I still do not love it, but it is getting better. It smells like food everywhere at school. Except, maybe the back parking lot, which smells like weed. I used to really like smoking back home, but I don't do it anymore. Drugs are stupid.
"I need your keys to the house." Lukes voice creeps up from behind me.
"Talking to me on school grounds? Without your girlfriends supervision? Braver by the second, I see." I say as I keep walking.
"It won't look weird because we both have sociology next period." He says.
I stop and take a look at him.
"What happened to your keys?" I ask before starting to walk again.
"What the f*ck do you think? Just give me yours." He spits.
I reach down the breast pocket of my jacket and discreetly hands the key to him.
He takes the key out of my hand and gets out of my way before I knew it.I do not know why he had to tell me that we both have sociology this period, when he is not here.
Looking around the room, I recognize a few faces."You know, you're barking up the wrong tree." Michael says as he takes the seat right next to mine.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't even know if you're using that phrase correctly." I smile back.
"I saw you talking to Luke earlier. Just thought I'd let you know he already has a girlfriend." He said while i tried not to look at him.
"God, I wasn't sucking him off or anything, I was just asking for directions." I say without even thinking about what I was saying.
"Wow. I did not expect you to say anything like that, I like it." He smiles.
I turn around to face him. "Yeah, well, don't get too used to it."
If I have to do another awkward introduction of myself I will go insane. Luckily for me, the teacher is too preoccupied with last weeks papers to even notice the new student.
Sociology never interested me before. I knew it was my brothers favorite subject in uni. That was why I am in this class.
Emma was right about Michael being an attractive guy, no doubt. He is just trying too hard to get with me. Now that I think of it, probably every other girl too.
