Over a week went by and I started to actually pay attention to what was happening around me. Not socially, but in class. I now know where every single one of my classes are located. And, the nurses office, thanks to the incident on my first day.

Luke has been meaner and weirder than usually this past week. He has not really shown up to all his classes, and I know for a fact I am going to get killed if I ask him why. I have no idea what is going through that boys mind. He is one hell of an actor though. Every time we both hang out with Emma he is just pretending to be fine with me.
Emma is in Perth this next week, visiting family. It is weird for me with her not around. I do not mind sitting all my myself at lunch, but I do miss her constant chatter sometimes.
It is warmer than usual today. I decide to go outside for my free period. The warm sun kisses every inch of my body, as the background noise from the main building is canceled out by the music from my headphones. Today is a good day and I will not let it be anything other than a good day. I am not at all used to the heat, being from England and all. Not that England was always cold, but it usually was chilly and rainy.

When Peter, Daisy and I were younger, we used to lay down beach towels in the living room and pretend it was summer. I never really thought about it, but we had not done it in a while. The last time I did it was with Daisy, just before the funeral. She had  always been hard to shut up, she talked constantly. After Peters accident, she stopped talking as much. I think I was the only one noticing how she changed, our parents were too busy.

I found her in the living room about 3 hours before we had to leave. She was just sitting there in the sofa, looking out the window.

"It's raining again, huh, Daise?" I said with a calm voice. No reply.

I went to the closet and found our old beach towels. Mine had Minnie Mouse on it. Peters had Mickey mouse. But since Daisy was younger, she had a newer towel. Hers was a green towel with Peppa Pig on it. I laid down the two towels on the floor and turned on the bright lamp and faced it towards the towels. Daisy turned around as a natural reaction to the clicking sound of the light switch. She looked up at me, then down at the towels, then back at me. I sat down on my towel, waiting to see what she would do next. She looked at the towels for a moment before getting up slowly.

"I know what you're trying to do, C." She said sitting down next to me.

"I'm... I'm trying to get you to remember what summer feels like." I smiled, and she smiled back.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, forcing my mind back to reality. I take out my headphones and  look behind me. Michael.
