Renjun's POV

"This is so stressful, I don't know how to answer any of this."
Jeno, the boy sitting across me, threw his pen down on the table before rubbing his face.

"Me neither," the caramel-haired beside him sighed before resting his head down onto his book. Neither of them even spared a glance back at the book and continued to sulk.

"We're supposed to be the smartest ones in our class."
Haechan massaged his temples and sighed.

After a long day at our University, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan and I were sitting at the coffee shop trying to figure out our homework. Unfortunately with the amount of homework we had to finish, the day only got longer and we were all racking our brains out trying to answer questions which suddenly made no sense.

"I'm taking a break," Jeno stated, already frustrated at the work.

"It's barely been 10 minutes since we got here," Jaemin tried reasoning with him although it seemed that he was doing the same thing.

"Like I said, I'm taking a break."

Sighing, I tried to ignore them to focus on my work but the volume at which they were arguing was already very distracting. I watched them both for a while, when the door of the coffee shop opened and that barista with that pretty smile walked in, and all of my attention moved on to him. As he entered and walked towards the counter, I couldn't help but stare.

The whispers and giggles from beside me snapped me out of my trance and I turned back to my front to see the other three looking at me with a mocking expression.

"He was looking at him like that yesterday too," Haechan sniggered before taking a sip of his coffee.
"He says he hates him."

"I wouldn't say I hate him per se.."

"Woah, yesterday you were ready to throw fists at that guy for spelling your name wrong, what happened?"

"Nothing happened, just shut it and focus on your work. We have a shit ton to complete and we've barely started."
I tried getting them to get back to studying but they seemed to have lost interest long ago.

"So, the only other explanation for you to stare at him so intensely would be that you're interested in him."
Haechan nudged my shoulder lightly before wiggling his brows.
"Hmmm?"

"What kind of bullshit--"

Jaemin giggled before getting up from his seat, the noise of his chair dragged outwards cut my sentence off.
"I finished my coffee and need another cup, do you guys want anything.. or anyone?"

"Shut up and just go."
I shooed him away as he laughed and turned towards the counter.
"I swear, if you flirt with him--"

"Why? I thought you said you liking him was bullshit."

Rolling my eyes, I stood up from my own seat and went to his side.
"On second thought, I'll come with. I want to buy something too."

"That's a great excuse you made up to talk to him," Haechan pointed out as if he had just exposed my intention which, by the way, was not true.

"Oh, so now I'm not allowed to buy anything in this shop?"

"Okay, alright, go ahead."

I followed behind Jaemin to the queue and he turned to face me instead of the front when we reached.

"What do you want to get, you know, besides his--?"

"One more word and I'll actually cut yours off."
I shot him a death glare as if daring him to complete his sentence.
