-Kenzie's POV-
Our new backyard has a pool, so me and all my cousins went swimming, except for Maddie.
I looked up at Maddie's foggy window and her face covered up the window.
She was staring at us, me in particular, and then in a split second she was gone. Then Chloe threw a ball at me and I got back in to having good times in the pool.
But in the back of my mind, I couldn't stop thinking about Maddie.

My cousins tried to say hi to Maddie while eating dinner, but she would just ignore them and pick at her food.
As usual, Maddie only ate the strawberries and carrots in her dinner. Our cousins looked down, trying to ignore the fact that Maddie's anorexic, and normally I do too, but this time cracked me.
Before Maddie picked up her plate to put in the sink, I stood up and pinned her hand to the table.
"Eat your taco." I demanded.
She looked at me with a pleading look in her eye. I shook my head.
"Eat it." I said again.
Maddie knew I wasn't going to give up, so she pushed her plate onto the ground and we watched as it shattered into a million pieces.
I turned to say something to Maddie but she had already ran upstairs. I ran up after her but her door was already shut and locked.
I looked down the hall and I noticed something above the door too Chloe's room.
The cross was gone.
