I took a big bite out of the candy apple that I had just opened.
He chuckled at me.
"What?" I asked, taking another bite.
"You're adorable." He said, taking another strawberry and eating it.
I goofily frowned at him,
"That's what you say to an eight year old."
He chuckled once again, taking a strawberry and throwing at me.
Me being me, I opened my mouth and shifted to the right so it landed on my tongue.
"Well then..." Hunter trailed off at the end. I broke into a fit of laughter.
Hunter laughed with me before he stood up and held his hand out to me. I took it without hesitation and we walked closer to the water.
"What do you notice about this sunset?" He asked me.
I looked hard at it, but me not being creative, could not notice anything but the colours.
"It's pink and orange." I stated and Hunter laughed.
"Look at the sun." He told me.
I smiled and I did as he said, but then I did notice something.
"The sun is perfectly aligned between the mountains." I stated in disbelief. That rarely ever happens, the majority of the year, the sunset is hidden between these mountains.
"Yup." Hunter said, popping the 'p'.
"That never happens... what a coincidence." I said.
Hunter chuckled,
"It's not a coincidence, Kate."
I turned around and faced him,
"What?"
He glanced over at the sunset, the light perfectly on his face,
"I've been planning this since I met you. I just got a... feeling, you know?"
He went on,
"I did a lot of digging to find out when the next sunset would be where the sun lines up perfectly."
I was speechless, he did all this for me?
"I love you, Kay."
"I love you too, Hunter."
~~~
"Thank you for the amazing night, Hunter." I told him with a huge smile on my face.
He blushed and smiled back.
He scratched the back of his head before asking,
"Will there be a second?"
"Absolutely, I hope there will be." I said, blushing.
"I'll make it happen." Hunter said, his cheeks going back to their normal colour.
"Will you thank the guys for me, they help set up the date and everything..." I asked him.
