*Mary's POV*
Dedicated to my friends from choir camp.
I was having the weirdest dream. Everything was purple. Next I saw a turtle, except it wasn't an ordinary turtle. It was as tall as a human. It smiled slightly, and when it did so there was a slight gap in its teeth. As I looked at it I realized it was kinda cute. Since this was a dream the thought didn't bug me. I was happy until I heard an annoying buzzing sound. I groaned as I woke up from my dream. Great I thought. Just another day in my life, or as I liked to call it hell. I got up and started getting. Brushing my long, drak blonde hair and brushing her teeth. As I picked out my outfit I remembered my dream. I choose a pair of dark jeans and a purple shirt that said 'Do I look like I care' on it. I didn't care who read it. No one in my messed family cared for me. My mom was a drunk, my dad was unemployed and had a habitat of beating me when one of "deals" went bad. One time I ended up in the hospital because he beat me so bad. My no good half brother took after our dad. The only reason he lives with us is because his mom didn't want him. I looked at the clock. It was 6:30. Good that was enough time to get breakfast and head to school. As I walked into the kitchen I spied my mom passed out on the couch. I then made breakfast. My dad and brother were still asleep, and would be until at least noon. After I finished my toast I started for school. I made it just in tome to run into the jerks at her school. A group of bitchy twigs who thought they were special. Therefore they called themselves The Ones. "Well look who it is." said their leader. I rolled my eyes. I didn't need this right now. I stare at Madison Bail. We used to be best friends in elementary until her dad got rich off his stupid marketing idea. Then she became pampered. While I worked hard, she slacked off. I became a nerd she became popular. "What do you want Madison?" I ask. She smirks "Oh nothing much, just an audience with her highness the nerd queen." Behind her the other girls smirked and giggled. I pushed past her and went to my locker. After first block I began to think about my dream. I did this a lot. It never affected my grades. I wad way ahead of my class, evan my teachers asked for help planning lessons. I completed my credits last year online. I'm only fifteen, but I'm really smart. Ryan he only reason I still come to school is because I want to get away from my screwed up family. At lunch I sat with my best friend Ally. We've gone to school together since kindergarten, but only started hanging out in sixth grade when we met while her mom was treating my injuries. They guessed that it was abuse, but I begged them not to report it. Foster care would be evan worse then my family. They agreed, but insisted that I stay with them if there was any trouble. I agreed. Ever since then Ally has been my best friend. We sit down and start talking. When I tell her about my dream she smiles. "I had one similar to that" she says" except it was blue, and the turtle looked different." I smile. At the end of thr day I start to head home when it becomes dark and starts to pour. It's a good thing I brought my jacket. When I'm about four blocks from my apartment I here something behind me. I then do the stupidest thing ever, I duck into the alley.
