Jiasino #6: Buttons and keys

Recap:

R.J witnessed Jailer's return from the hospital after his fateful accident and presumed him to be bullying Mithranee again. She concludes it was due to Jailer being influenced by Casino, the school's new addition and her ex lover, and decides to seek him out to warn him of trying to anger her, who was secretly a FBI agent. Meanwhile, Graceful decides to ignore Xen forever, but unfortunately runs into him in the elevator, where by a strand of lint from her sweater is caught by the door. The elevator gets stuck midway and she gets trapped with him. On the other hand, R.J pulls Casino into the janitor closet and confronts him, only to be ambushed by someone opening the door, and Casino uses it as an opportunity to pull her into a kiss.

Now:

It was unbelievable.

No, not the kiss, but his audacity.

R.J leaned on the wall opposite of the janitor closet with that disgusting pig right beside her, a mixture of shock and smirk on his face. The janitor snarled at them in a disgraceful way and shut the door. Instantly, R.J spins to meet Carl in the eye and contemplated whether to slap or strangle him; since the slap ended into a kiss, strangling it shall be.

She inches towards him, her hands in front to grab his throat. He swiftly and comfortably glides away, and teases, 'You want it again babe?'

Oh how she never missed his annoying attitude.

'No you stupid, i want to kill you!' She blurted out in anger, before realizing she was in a public place.
Her eyes darted around worriedly, hoping no one saw them, especially Vanilla.

'What a pity no one is nearby to witness Rile-' she lunges for him again and he easily grabs her arm inching close to him and pulls her closer to him, until their lips were inches apart and R.J can see her hand pinned up by Carl.

However, as their eyes met, she saw another expression in them. His blue eyes softened, a mix of memories flooding him like a movie and they glisten under the wave of sunlight that washes over them from the rising sun.
R.J could not help but soften as well. After all, they were once together, even though her motive was of capturing his father, she knew that the emotions she felt in the relationship was real... and she hated that.

His lip quivers and he closes them. Then, almost out of the moment, he moves forward once and presses his lips against hers.
This time round, R.J didnt move, at all. She did not move away and slap him, nor did she kiss him back.

What is he doing?!?

Her hands shivered and her fingers fisted into a ball. She wanted to move so bad, to show him she has moved on and she never cared. It was so much harder that he is here again in person, kissing her.

Saving her from her romantic conceit to Casino's charms and lips, a loud thud reverberated through the hallway;

'THUD!'

The sudden sound allowed them to easily and quickly part lips and allowed R.J to move away from him to the opposite wall of the hallway. She quickly darts her eyes towards her right and immediately locates the sound to have been further down the hallway. Just as her sharp instincts  and years of training taught her, her legs start to glide and move towards the location of the source of the sound, with Casino following behind closely without a word.

If this was all it took for him to behave, I would hope for this to happen often

She smirked to herself until she came face to face with the school elevator. Thumping her hands against the cool metal surface of the doors, she realized the lift was halted, thus being the cause of the sound. She looks down into her phone and finds a couple of missed calls from graceful, alongside a message of SOS.
