16. Genio Atrapado
"Urgh!!" Leo protested, while building his 'escape' from Calypso's island. Not gonna get improvements with an empty stomach, he decided, stopping his work. He looked towards where he thought Calypso was and headed to the repaired table and started to eat.
"Thought you were an automaton" Calypso's voice came from behind "All work, no eating"
"Got caught up in the moment" Leo admitted "Why don't you sit?" he invited her. Calypso sat, doubtful "What don't we talk?"
"About?"
"Tell me about you and this island"

"I've been trapped in this island since the end of the First Titan War" Calypso explained, looking at her plate in front of her "It's my punishment for helping my father, Atlas, though I never participated in the war..."
"You can't leave this island? Like ever?" Leo questioned her, surprise.
"Like ever. All I get are visits from time to time from Hermes. Your father. And, sometimes..."
"Demigods" Leo finished for her.

"Did any of them stayed with you?"
"Not for long time... Besides, time in Ogygia passes differently from the rest of the world... A week here could be a month outside, I ignore it"
"What should happen for the demigods to leave?"
"I should fall for them" she replied in a whisper, not loud enough for Leo to hear her.

As the days passed, Leo an Calypso started to be more polite to each other, though Leo was more focused in his work than on the island. But, a little part in his mind, was calculating possibilities and probabilities on Calypso being able to leave that damned island and her loneliness. He, better than anyone, knows what is it to feel alone even in a crowded ship.
He couldn't deny Calypso's beauty, but that was just very superficial... She had character, she had strength, something that made her unique... Maybe, a tiny part in him didn't wanted to be totally alone and hoped...
