"THEY ONLY HAVE BEER IN THE FRIDGE, BUT I FOUND A HUGE BOTTLE OF VODKA IN THE CUPBOARDS," JAKE STATED.
He walked into the living room with four plastic cups and the bottle of vodka.
"If you think I'm taking shots with a full sized cup you are so mistaken," Anastasia stared at him as he walked in.
"We won't fill them to the top, fool," he said, smiling at her stupidity. They were so damn cute.
"Isn't it going to be a bit hard to take a shot from a normal cup?" I asked Jake, squinting slightly as I waited for a response.
"Would you rather we just drink beer?" He asked, resuming his seat next to Ana.
"She hates beer," Chase stated, walking out of the kitchen also, holding a bottle of water.
"The water is for?" Ana asked him, lifting an eyebrow.
"I'm not trying to even get tipsy tonight," he said.
"So literally nobody wants to get drunk and yet we're playing a drinking game?" Jake asked, looking around.
"You rejected my idea of chess and so this is pretty much our only other choice," Ana shrugged, looking at him teasingly.
"Because that's the obvious leap; from chess to hard alcohol," he smiled at her, the two of them facing each other completely as they grinned at one another like idiots.
"The flirting is kind of suffocating," Chase acknowledged.
Jake's turned to glare at Chase, "you being single doesn't make that statement any less hypocritical."
An awkward silence followed Jake's words, due to the reminder that Chase was not going out with anyone. Chase and I weren't together.
"We should play," I mumbled after a moment, trying to distract the topic of conversation.
The plastic cups were handed out and the bottle of vodka was placed on the small coffee table. It felt weird to be sat at such an uneven setting, with both Chase and I singularly occupying one sofa each as Ana and Jake shared.
