Dear diary.
Just as I feared, yesterday Saim and I had a.... discussion. Today we discussed it with my sister too.
They said, "Reza should get married."
I said, "I can't."
They said, "why not?"
I was speechless. They don't know about Azra. I can't tell them about Azra. I mean, no matter how hard I try, I just can't explain to them that I'm in love with a memory.
So yeah, I was speechless.
Then, I did what I do best. I mixed this recipe I had in my head and told our sister that "Saim should marry first."
Saim understood what I was doing and resisted. But I told our sister that he had a girl-friend, named Sarah (I got to know her name today, I had forgotten before) and so that he doesn't sin, we should make it legal for him.
I also added spices and told my motherly elder sister that the girl was amazing and very sweet and the two deserved each other.
My motherly sister did what I expected. She grilled Saim about not telling her about Sarah. And she told me to prepare to ask for Sarah's hand for Saim.
The problem now is: they still don't know about Azra. And I don't know what they'll do when they do know about her.
-Reza.
