-Y/N-
I was running off my heels the fastest I could. In the dark, in the moonlight. I was hoping that I could find myself another place where I could hide, but even then, I'd have to outrun the scouts. Now I could run forever, that was something I was used to. But was I faster than the most strongest scout ever? Seeing his face.
It brought back flashbacks of my childhood.
I often watched him in the circles of his fights and see him win with that knife of his. I always saw Kenny walk with him.
I blinked out of thinking so much and realized I ran into an alley with a dead end. Panic arose in my body but I had to think of a plan. There were boxes in front of me and the tiniest ledge possible lining the second floor of the buildings.
If I had any motivation in me to escape, my plan would be to use the boxes as height and jump to the ledge and jump over the wall that caused the dead end. If I do that though, I could risk another injury. Or I could fight on head to head with the scouts. Or maybe I can escape during the process of them capturing me.
I decided to go along with my first plan, and if that fails, I would continue on with my backups.
As I got onto the boxes, I heard fast footsteps.
"Don't you dare move an inch" I heard a deep voice say.
That's Levi's voice.
"What'll happen if I do?" they didn't have ODM gear, so it wasn't like they could take me down right then and there. They'd have to chase me for hours.
All of a sudden, I saw a glimmer shine on an object Levi had held in his hand from the moonlight.
Shit, it was a knife. He twirled it around his fingers.
Two can play at that game. I myself also had a knife on me, slightly smaller since it was used for basic uses, but I always believed that if your handler was strong, you could make a weak knife durable.
I took a slow step up the box, revealing my entire body and height in the air. This was risky. Knowing he could throw it anywhere and I'd have to defend myself.
All of a sudden, as it happened in a split second, he threw the knife in my direction. My instincts told me to not throw my knife, but to use it. I tore the tie of the hoodie and cascaded the hoodie around my body to in front of me, where the knife pierced the hoodie, maybe an entire millimeter away from piercing my body. I jumped onto the ledge and let go of the hoodie and jumped onto the wall braced myself for impact.
I landed with a thud onto my ankle, and I nearly wanted to scream. As I looked up from the wall I had just jumped off of, there were two other scouts waiting in front of me. Levi. Always so smart and talented. If I had his advantages, I would've thought no less. I honestly laughed at myself for making such a stupid mistake. He had backups for every backup plan I would've made.
He had this planned out so well.
"Release any weapons you have and put your hands in the air" a girl said.
I put my hands in the air, but this was not defeat for me, for I had another plan. I wanted to know more about Levi and the unknown information about what the higher ups think about the civilians dying from starvation.

I was on a wagon to the scout regiment base. Next to me was that kid who I had tied up. In front of me, was Levi.
"So I mean, this is kind of quiet and boring, don't you think?" I said bluntly.
The boy next to me gave an incredulous look, "Are you kidding me?"
"I mean, no? Let's get to know each other. Let's get buddy-buddy before whatever happens to me." I shrugged.
"I'm Eren!" a boy with green eyes said to me. This was the kid who outed me to Levi.
He earned a slap from the boy next to me, "you couldn't even think of a fake name, could you, idiot?" he whispered to Eren, but enough for everyone to hear.
"Well now you know. I'm Jean" said the brown headed boy.
I had learned that the other two were Connie and Sasha after asking.
"And how come you didn't ask for mine? Are you already familiar with me?" the deep voice resonated inside my head.
"Let's just say you're well known in the city" I gave a light laugh. Little did he know, I was almost always in proximity to him. Following not just him but Kenny's shadow, like a lost, little girl.
I don't envy Kenny now. He's not even that great as what I had imagined before when I was a kid. Now I just thought of him as an old guy that could really beat the shit out of people.
All I wanted to do was give justice and happiness to my city, while I still lived a piss poor life on the streets with no family or friends.
There were now torches of lights and could see everyone properly. I took a long glance at everyone, much like how I assessed people. Sasha seemed to shake a lot, so she was either nervous or anxious about something. Connie was relaxed, but stuck to Sasha most of the time. His eyes showed me the life he's had to endure with the horrendous expeditions they have probably gone through. Eren had life in his eyes though. There was some sort of passion in that kid. Jean had the same fiery look, but always seemed angry about something.
Then there was Levi. A mystery. I had no idea what I could see. I knew he was rigid, and kept a sturdy posture and did not like to share anything. He had one arm on the edge of the wagon, looking to the side of the view.
He honestly had the sharpest jawline I've ever seen.
I gulped.
I looked away.
"And what's your name?" Eren had spoken to me.
"I don't know mine. But you can call me Red, for real. It wasn't just a nickname. It's the only name I've ever had" I looked out to the slowly rising sun. I slightly lied. I did have a name and only one person here would be the slightest bit familiar with it, but I had to lie just in case.
Eren looked at me with a small frown, as if I wasn't as interesting as he thought I was.
I didn't look the type to kill people, and I didn't look peculiar at all. I did have a menacing look on my face, but I was born to have hatred for many things and kept a frown upon my face. My hair was grown out all the way to my tailbone and was always put into a high ponytail to not get in the way.
"You haven't even bothered to name yourself something?" Eren kept pressing further.
"Kid, literally shut up. I haven't spent more than ten seconds on my name because I've been dealing with a ton of shit on the streets that has been on a never-ending cycle". "I'm just trying to survive here, now" I snapped.
Levi looked my way. I avoided his gaze but I knew he was looking at me.
-LEVI-
I spent a brief glance on what was now a her.
Red was a girl?
Take it back, she was a woman?
With green eyes and long black raven hair, she stood around a good half a foot taller than me and her long shoes were covered in mud, which I presumed were red.
Her remark caused me to snap out of my thinking and noticed that she was not going to be easy to talk to. To be quite frank, I didn't know what I was going to do with her.
This was all Eren's fault. She has no business in anything important. Did she really matter? The most I was going to do with her was interrogate her objectives. Though, she did kill people. That was against law here and thus should be put to death. But that isn't something I have to deal with. That was the military police. A letter to them should have them coming and taking her away. She'd be out of my hair.
But for some reason, something stuck to me. She seemed familiar. Was it just because we grew up in the same area? It couldn't have been. She felt more familiar, in a sense.
Maybe that's what I'll figure out.
