Ch/1

(A/N: There are a lot of mistakes and errors in this book , so please excuse any mistakes you'll find. I am planning on rereading the chapters to fix all mistakes, so just bare with me.)

Ashanti P.O.V

"Ashanti I don't want you outside this time of the night" my mother stated

I mentally rolled my eyes , my mother was to over protecting. I understand that's a mother's job to protect their baby , but I wasn't a baby anymore I'm seventeen about to be eighteen in two more months. I was so over the mommy bear protecting her cub stage , I wanted to live life...not to be lock up in the house 24/7.

"Mom , I'm only going two blocks down to the store" I spoke while slipping my shoes on.

"Two long blocks" my mother sighed

"Mom just please trust me , I have my phone if anything happens" I spoke slipping on my jacket.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek and left out the door before she could say anything els , The warm wind hit me as soon as I stepped out , it was a warm summer night and it was a full moon. I put my head phones on and started my journey to the store.

I hummed to the music that played through my head phones , before I knew it I was already at the gas station. It wasn't as pack as it usually be, it was a few guys out side the store and when I walked in it was some in the store just standing around talking.

I just continued humming to my music as I went to the back of the store to grab me a drink. As I bended down to grab the drink that I wanted , I felt a hand softly grabbed my ass. I quickly snap up and looked behind me straight at the men who was standing behind me smirking.

"Don't fucking touch me" I spoke with a hint of attitude.

"Chill lil mama" He said in a calm voice followed by a chuckle.

I rolled my eyes and brushed pass him. I was getting sick and tired of men's thinking they had the right to touch up on any female that they found attractive.

"Wait baby let me get yo' number" He said following behind me.

"No I'm gay" I spoke with all honesty , i was indeed a lesbian and I would choose pussy over dick anytime.

"Okay and... you never had dick before , let me be your first" He stated licking his lips as his eyes traveled down my body.

I laughed at his weak ass pick up line , he really thought telling me that was about to make me want him. His face dropped as he just stared at me.

"What's funny" He spoke clearly hurt

"You" I said laughing some more

"Well then fuck you , stupid ass bitch" He spat as he started walking away.

"You ugly ass fuck any ways" He spoke once more before leaving out the store.

"Pathetic ass nigga" I mumbled

I walked up to the front of the store ready to check out until some girl rushed in and got in front me , I rolled my eyes at the small brown chick who was leaning over the counter.

"Let me get four lemon swishers wraps" the girl spoke.

After she grabbed the swishers and paid for them , she turned and look at me.

"My bad girl" She spoke giving me a small smile

"It's okay" I stated

She jogged back out the store and I put the junk I had on to the counter. After paying for my stuff , I left out the store and started making my way back home.

As I was walking down the street, I heard yelling coming from behind this abandoned house. I know I shouldn't be nosey but I couldn't help it , there was a voice in my head to go see if anyone was in harm. Next thing I know I was sneaking over to the back of the abandoned house with my phone out ready to dial 911 if needed.

My eyes got big as I seen the Men that was in the store harassing me , He was up against the wall as two females with black mask on held him at gun point. I could tell they were female because of their body shape.

"Nigga I gave you to many chances" One of the girls said as she pulled out a gun aiming at his head.

I watch as the two females push the man down forcefully on to his knees as they hovered over him still aiming the gun at his head. The girls pulled off their mask and I could see their faces clearly, one of the girls I recognized , she was the girl from earlier at the store but the other one I didn't recognized.

"I want you to see my face when I kill you" The women with the gun spoke

"Men I don't give a fuck , KILL ME!" The men yelled loudly

With out hesitation the women with the gun pulled the trigger, the noise made me jump , it's like everything moved in slow motion as my phone drop and Siri began to talk.

I immediately curse myself out in my head.

"Who's there" The girl with the gun said as they walked near where I was.

I know I should've ran but I just stood there praying that god would keep me alive to night to see my mother.

"If you come out we won't kill you" The other girl said.

"I'll give you three seconds 1......2" the girl with the gun spoke

I took a deep breath and moved out of my hiding spot and out to where they can see me, I don't know why I would step out willingly for them just to kill me and go. I couldn't explain how nervous and scared I was as They came closer to me and the short brown skinned girl eyes got big as she recognized me.

"You shouldn't have came out" The girl with gun said while pointing the gun at me.

My heart had stopped

Was this it for me?

Am I about to die?

Is all I thought until I heard police sirens in the distance , I immediately thanked god.

"Damn it we have to go" The brown skinned girl said

"Well we can't let her live, she seen are faces" The one with the gun spoke

"Okay what should we do" The brown skinned one said obviously frustrated

"I know" The one with the gun said

I seen her look at me and then I felt something hit my head.

everything went black.
