Hellebore

They say I talked about you like you put stars in the sky. You were dressed from head to toe in black, standing elegant and tall amongst the rest. After it all there are no more stars. You took those away from me. The sky is just a suffocating black with no moon nor stars. It’s just as black as the bruises you left on my fragile fire. I wonder if you look at the sky like I do and wonder about what you’d done. Now, just like you before me, I’m dressed in black. Mourning the death of my innocence I so foolishly let you kill. Now it’s just me, suffocating in the black sky waiting for the purple king to find me. In the end, you may have killed my innocence but you will never kill my fire. It burns brighter than anything you have ever seen. But I must say, thank you for all you taught me. Sweet boy in black I wish you luck. I hope you’re happy.
