God, this was so long before I came back through. Were my author's notes always this long? It was like it took up half the word count or something.

Enjoy!

Harry had barely gotten his body out of the car when he was caged.

For a moment, his ancient vampire instincts had kicked in. He had almost been able to break free of the arms too, but he had been stopped by a familiar voice.

"Hadrian, have I missed you so!" Carlisle cried happily, swinging Harry around a bit. Surprising himself, Harry's body involuntary relaxed into the embrace.

"Carlisle," Harry breathed, huffing playfully. The arms around his thin waist loosened and Harry pulled himself back towards the bright yellow car. "It's so good to see you," Harry smiled, his eyes bleeding into the same bright, abnormally bright, yellow of Alex's car. Carlisle laughed.

"What brings you here, old friend?" Harry shrugged, pulling out one of his heavier suitcases.

"The Volturi has found it necessary to station me here. It looks like it will be a long while too." Harry huffed again when Alex grabbed a large suitcase. "They, I assume, don't want me to come back until that girl is either dead or changed," Harry commented, pointing a long, elegant finger at the human girl huddled on the porch. Carlisle let his smile drop ever so slightly.

"I see," he murmured, wrapping his arm around a rather beautiful woman that seemed to appear out of thin air.

"Well don't just stand there," the woman commented, turning bright amber doe-like eyes onto Harry's own bright yellow. "Come inside and get settled."

Carlisle smiled widened at the sound of the woman's voice. "Yes, why don't we all migrate inside. Alex, can you help--"

"Already on it, Carlisle. He can stay will me and Jaz." Alex flashed Harry a smile before he went back to grabbed more things. A blond vampire made his way down the front steps to join them.

Harry figured that this was Jasper. He flashed the attractive male a smile, a smile that turned understanding when the man seemed to relax more the further he was away from Bella.

Alex wrapped his arms around the blond male with a grin before he leaned in for a light kiss. Harry found it quite amusing that the smaller man had to stand on the tips of his toes to even reach the other man's chin.

Harry had never had a problem with public displays of affection. Kissing and hugging didn't bother him much. It always just made him happy to see others happy. Then again, he had really only seen anything like that within the guard. Even as a vampire, it was a lonely existence when you didn't have someone to share it with; whether it be a bedmate or a lover.

"Harry, this is Jasper," Alex said eventually, still hanging off of the other man. Harry gave the vampire a friendly smile and a wave.

"Hi, I'm Hadrian."

Jasper had disappeared rather quickly up to the room that he now shared with two others.

Hadrian's things had already been placed rather carefully by the black leather couch that took center stage in the large room. Jasper couldn't help but feel overwhelmed at the scent that was slowly making its way around the room.

"Why does his stuff smell of animal?" Jasper muttered, already sensing the presence behind him. Smaller arms wrapped around his body from behind, and Jasper couldn't help but melt into his mate's embrace.

"I don't know for sure. I have been trying to figure that out since we left Volterra." Alex murmured, tightening his arms just a bit. "I think it has something to do with his gift."
