Emma glanced at Hanson as he took a seat next to her. 'He acts like I'm going to bite him' she thought as she felt heat Twitch at the tips of her fingers. No. Class wasn't the place for flames. She had to keep it together.
"I'm sorry"
Emma flinched as she looked at Hanson tilting her head.
"For what?" She asked him confused.
"For running away from you that wasn't right"
"Wouldn't be the first time someone's done that"
Emma noticed the look of confusion on his face. It was the first time she was really seeing his emerald eyes. She liked the color oddly.
"Let's just say I'm considered a bother" she muttered clenching her palms together to try and block the coming flames. However she didn't expect what he said next.
"Well I doubt you are one, people are just cruel"
She looked into his eyes to see if he was toying with her like everyone else. Only thing she seemed to find was a look of sadness. Odd?
"I promise I won't make you feel like that again..." he whispered softly.
Emma opened her mouth to say something but then their teacher shushed them.
"Apologies" Hanson said to them before looking back down at their assignment.
Emma glanced at him before looking down at her hands. Oddly enough she didn't feel any heat or see any flames for the first time in months.
"How odd..." she whispered
